''Suryaputhri'' ( ta, சூரியபுத்திரி) is a Tamil soap opera that aired on Kalaignar TV. The show premiered on 5 March 2012 and aired Monday through Thursday at 10:00PM IST. Later the show was shifted to the 12:30PM and 8:30PM time slot. The show starred Kutty Padmini, Nizhalgal Ravi, Santhoshi, Lavanya, and Rajkumar. It was produced by Vaishnavi Media Works Limited's Kutty Padmini and directed by Tamizh Bharati with Keerthana as the creative director. The music was composed by D. Imman. The show last aired on 19 June 2014 and ended with 448 episodes. This serial re-telecast on same Channel on only Singapore and Malaysia from December 2016, airs Monday to Friday at 9:30PM. () is a 1941 Indian Hindu mythological film, directed by Ellis R. Dungan and associate J. Moylan. The film stars Kothamangalam Subbu, Kothamangalam Seenu and K. R. Chellam. Co-starring were T. R. Rajakumari, M. S. Sundari Bai and S. R. Janaki. Plot On a festival day, Sage Narada (Master Rajagopal) meets the Sun God, also known as Surya, (Kothamangalam Subbu) and sings praises of him. Kutty Padmini is an Indian actress who mainly works in Tamil cinema. She was a child star in her debut movie ''Ambala Anjulam'' (1959). She has also acted in Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi movies. She made her debut in Tamil cinema at the age of 3. She has acted with prominent personalities of Tamil cinema, including Sivaji Ganesan, M. G. Ramachandran, Gemini Ganesan, Jaishankar, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. Sudha Chandran
Sudha Chandran (born 27 September 1965) is an Indian Bharatanatyam dancer and actress who appears in Indian television and films. In 1981, she hurt her leg in a road accident near Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu while coming back from Madras with her parents. Her leg became gangrenous and her parents opted to have it amputated. Parithimar Kalaignar (born V. G. Suryanarayana Sastri at Vilacheri near Thirupparankundram on 6 July 1870 – 2 November 1903), a Professor of Tamil at the Madras Christian College, was the first person to campaign for the recognition of Tamil as a classical language. Lavanya (born December 1, 1979) is an Indian actress who has appeared in Tamil films and serials.
