Suryabinayak Municipality
Suryabinayak Municipality ( ne, सुर्यविनायक नगरपालिका) is a city in Bagmati Province in Central Nepal. It is the largest city of Bhaktapur district with a population of 137,971 with 23,637 households. It was created in December 2014 through the merger of the Village development committees of Kautunje (the municipality's centre), Sipadol, Nankhel and Chitpol. The municipality's name stems from the local Suryavinayak Temple. In March 2017, under new local level restructuring, Suryabinayak Municipality was expanded to include the neighboring municipality of Anantalingeshwor, adding four more previous VDCs of Sirutar, Gundu, Dadhikot and Balkot. Village Development Committee (Nepal)
A village development committee ( ne, गाउँ विकास समिति; ''gāum̐ vikās samiti'') in Nepal was the lower administrative part of its Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development. Each district had several VDCs, similar to municipalities but with greater public-government interaction and administration. There were 3,157 village development committees in Nepal. Each village development committee was further divided into several wards ( ne, वडा) depending on the population of the district, the average being nine wards. Digital Himalaya
The Digital Himalaya project was established in December 2000 by Mark Turin, Alan Macfarlane, Sara Shneiderman, and Sarah Harrison. The project's principal goal is to collect and preserve historical multimedia materials relating to the Himalaya, such as photographs, recordings, and journals, and make those resources available over the internet and offline, on external storage media. Balkot, Bagmati
Balkot ( ne, बालकोट) is located in Bhaktapur District in the Bagmati Provience of central Nepal. In 2015, it was merged with Sirutar, Gundu and Dadhikot to form Anantalingeshowr Municipality. Sirutar ( ne, सिरुटार) is a town located in Bhaktapur District . It comes under Suryabinayak Municipality. Sirutar is a town and is situated in ward 1 of Suryabinayak Municipality in Bhaktapur District in Province no 3 of central Nepal.
