''The Surrounded'', D'Arcy McNickle, D’Arcy McNickle's first book, was first published in 1936 by Harcourt (publisher), Harcourt, Brace and Company then republished in 1964 and again in 1978 by the University of New Mexico Press. McNickle was a Cree Métis author enrolled as Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, Salish-Kootenai on the Flathead Indian Reservation. ''The Surrounded'' takes place in the Sniél-emen Valley, which translates to “Mountains of the surrounded,” on the Flathead Reservation in Montana at the ranch of Max Leon, Archilde's father. Justin Edward Sullivan (born 8 April 1956) is an English singer, songwriter and musician. He is also the lead vocalist, guitarist and principal songwriter of English rock band New Model Army, which he formed in 1980 together with drummer Robert Heaton and bassist Stuart Morrow in their hometown of Bradford, West Yorkshire. Men of Standard is an American gospel group. Musical career The group spent the bulk of their tenure as signees to the Malaco Records subsidiary Muscle Shoals.
