Surrealligraphy
C. N. Liew () (born 1975) is a Malaysian Chinese painter and calligrapher based in Hong Kong. His artwork was also the first Chinese calligraphy collected by the Malaysian Royal Palace. He is also an alumnus of Chong Hwa Independent High School, Kuala Lumpur. In celebration of Chong Hwa's Schools 100th anniversary, he has contributed his calligraphic inscriptions on its cover for the school's commemorative stamps. In 2005, C.N. Liew ‘s “Surrealligraphy” won the “Special Award of the First Seoul International Calligraphy Biennial”. In 2012, C.N. Liew became the first Malaysian artist to exhibit at Art Basel, Fine Art Asia, and Art Miami. 2016 Asian Weekly named C.N. Liew as the “World Outstanding Young Leaders Award” winner. Tan Swie Hian
Tan Swie Hian () is a Singaporean multidisciplinary artist known for his contemporary Chinese calligraphy, Chinese poetry and contemporary art sculptures found in Singapore and many parts of the world. Early life Born in Indonesia, Tan migrated to Singapore circa 1946. He grew up with a fluency in Chinese and Malay, and went on to study English and French at Nanyang University. He began his career as a press attaché for the French Embassy in Singapore, after graduating with a degree in English literature from the university. While working as an attaché, he continued pursuing his passion for art. His first foray into the Singapore arts scene was with his first collection of poetry writings titled ''The Giant'' in 1968 and held his first art exhibition at the National Library on Stamford Road in 1973. Ikeda Daisaku
is a Japanese Buddhist philosopher, educator, author, and nuclear disarmament advocate. He served as the third president and then honorary president of the Soka Gakkai, the largest of Japan's new religious movements. Ikeda is the founding president of the Soka Gakkai International (SGI), the world's largest Buddhist lay organization, which claims to have approximately 12 million practitioners in 192 countries and territories, more than 1.5 million of whom reside outside of Japan as of 2012. Ikeda was born in Tokyo, Japan, in 1928, to a family of seaweed farmers. Nei Xue Tang Museum
The Nei Xue Tang Museum ("Hall of Inner Learning") (Simplified Chinese: 内学堂）is a private museum of Buddhist art in Singapore. It is the first home museum in Singapore. The museum was created by collector Woon Wee Teng under a program enacted by the Singapore government to allow collectors to show their collections in their own homes. Opened in 2005, the collection is located in a four-storey pre-war house built in the Peranakan style on Cantonment Road. It is Singapore's first home museum. The museum is by invitation only. Singaporean billionaire businessman, Oei Hong Leong, houses most of his 50,000-piece collection of Buddhist artifacts at the Museum.
