Superior Propane Centre
The Superior Propane Centre is a multi-purpose arena in Moncton, New Brunswick which opened on November 8, 2003, with four NHL-sized ice surfaces, one of which (the Champions Arena) has seating for 1,500 spectators. It was home to the Moncton Beavers of the Maritime Junior A Hockey League until 2007 when they moved to Dieppe and became the Dieppe Commandos. It is the home of the Moncton Mariposa Figure Skating Club, the Moncton Minor Hockey Association the Moncton Ringette Association and Lacrosse Moncton. The facility also contains a pro shop, full-service restaurant, coffee shop and meeting facilities. Beavers are large, semiaquatic rodents in the genus ''Castor'' native to the temperate Northern Hemisphere. The Maritime Junior Hockey League (MHL) is a Junior A ice hockey league under Hockey Canada, a part of the Canadian Junior Hockey League. It consists of five teams from New Brunswick and one team from Prince Edward Island, which make up the EastLink North Division (formerly Roger Meek), and six teams from Nova Scotia which make up the Eastlink South Division. Dieppe () is a city in the Canadian maritime province of New Brunswick. Statistics Canada counted the population at 28,114 in 2021, making it the fourth-largest city in the province. Dieppe Commandos
The Edmundston Blizzard are a junior ice hockey team from Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada. They play in the Maritime Junior Hockey League. History The Moncton Hawks were New Brunswick Junior Hockey League Junior A champions in 1981, 1982, and 1983. In 1983, the Moncton Hawks abandoned the faltering New Brunswick Junior Hockey League and joined the Metro Valley Junior Hockey League which until then was a Nova Scotia-based league. In the summer of 2008, the Moncton Beavers moved to neighbouring Dieppe and became the Commandos. The Commandos played host to the 2009 Fred Page Cup.
