The Supercopa Argentina (English: Argentine Super Cup) is an official National association football cup of Argentina organized by the Argentine Football Association (AFA). The annual football match was played for the first time in 2012, being contested by the reigning champions of Primera División and Copa Argentina respectively. Argentine Football Association
The Argentine Football Association ( es, Asociación del Fútbol Argentino, ; AFA) is the governing body of football in Argentina based in Buenos Aires. It organises the main divisions of Argentine league system (from Primera División to Torneo Regional Federal and Primera D), including domestic cups: Copa Argentina, Copa de la Liga Profesional and the Trofeo de Campeones de la Liga Profesional. The body also manages all the Argentina national teams, including the Senior, U-20, U-17, U-15, Olympic and women's squads. Secondly, it also organizes the women's, children, youth, futsal, and other local leagues. The AFA also organised all the Primera División championships from 1893 to 2016–17. 2019–20 Copa Argentina
The 2019–20 Copa Argentina (officially the Copa Argentina AXION energy 2019–20 for sponsorship reasons) was the eleventh edition of the Copa Argentina, and the ninth since the relaunch of the tournament in 2011. The competition began on 15 January 2020 and ended on 8 December 2021. On 17 March 2020, the Argentine Football Association (AFA) announced the suspension of the tournament to prevent the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19. After several months the tournament resumed on 23 December 2020. Originally, the champions would qualify for the 2021 Copa Libertadores, however on 11 December 2020 the Copa Argentina organizers announced that the 2019–20 edition would not end before the beginning of the 2021 Copa Libertadores. The 2014 Supercopa Argentina Final was the 3rd edition of the Supercopa, an annual football match contested by the winners of the Argentine Primera División and Copa Argentina competitions. The 2022 Argentine Primera División - Liga Profesional will be the 132nd season of top-flight professional football in Argentina. The league season will begin on 5 June and will end on 23 October 2022. Twenty-eight teams will compete in the league: the 26 teams that took part in the previous Primera División season as well as two promoted teams from the 2021 Primera Nacional ( Tigre and Barracas Central).
