Super Fly T.N.T.
''Super Fly T.N.T.'' is a 1973 American blaxploitation crime drama film directed and starring Ron O'Neal. O'Neal reprises his role of Youngblood Priest from the 1972 film '' Super Fly''. The film was both a critical and commercial failure according to some critics. The film was released on VHS in 1993, but it has not been released on DVD or Blu-ray. It was shot in Rome, Italy and other locations such as Senegal. A sequel, ''The Return of Superfly'', was released in 1990, with Nathan Purdee as Priest. Plot Youngblood Priest and Georgia have now relocated to Rome from New York City and now are living in Rome. Priest drops Georgia off and when she goes to the place, she meets a black American man named Jordan who recognizes her from New York City. ''Super Fly'' is a 1972 American blaxploitation neo-noir crime drama film directed by Gordon Parks Jr. and starring Ron O'Neal as Youngblood Priest, an African American cocaine dealer who is trying to quit the underworld drug business. The film is well known for its soundtrack, written and produced by soul musician Curtis Mayfield. It was released on August 4, 1972. O'Neal reprised his role as Youngblood Priest in the 1973 film '' Super Fly T.N.T.'', which he also directed. Producer Sig Shore directed a second sequel, ''The Return of Superfly'', released in 1990, with Nathan Purdee as Priest. A remake was released in 2018. In 2022, the film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant". AllMusic (previously known as All Music Guide and AMG) is an American online music database. It catalogs more than three million album entries and 30 million tracks, as well as information on musicians and bands. Buddah Records (later known as Buddha Records) was an American record label founded in 1967 in New York City. The label was born out of Kama Sutra Records, an MGM Records-distributed label, which remained a key imprint following Buddah's founding. Federico Boido (8 January 1938 – 7 October 2014), was an Italian film actor who appeared in many horror films, Spaghetti Westerns, and sword and sandal movies. He also acted in the Sadistik photo novels and related his experiences in the film ''The Diabolikal Super-Kriminal''. Boido was born in Novi Ligure, and made his film debut at the age of 26. He appeared in over fifty films, including ''Planet of the Vampires'' (1965), '' Danger: Diabolik'' (1968), ''Spirits of the Dead'' (1968), ''Roy Colt and Winchester Jack'' (1970), and '' Superfly TNT'' (1973). Bisera Vukotić ( sr-Cyrl, Бисера Вукотић; born 26 May 1944), known professionally as Olga Bisera, is a Yugoslav-born Italian film actress and producer. She was born in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She entered the Drama Arts Academy in Belgrade. At 25 she made her film debut in Hollywood in Sidney Pollack's ''Castle Keep'', and was put under contract by Columbia Pictures, moving to New York and attending the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. Born in Bari, graduated in law, Noto became first known as radio-host after the first World War. Nathan Purdee (born August 6, 1950 in Tampa, Florida) is an American actor, best known for his roles in popular soap operas. __TOC__ Personal life Purdee's father was an officer in the United States Air Force, and the family moved around many times. After spending formative years in Washington, D.C., Bakersfield, California, and Kaiserslautern, Germany, he graduated from high school in Denver, Colorado.
