Sunset Sons
Sunset Sons are a three-piece British-Australian indie band, based out of the town of Hossegor, in the Landes de Gascogne, Landes region of the south west of France, known as 'The European Surfing Capital'. The band have released five EPs and three albums. They have toured throughout the UK, Ireland, Europe and the west coast of the US. Formation The seed of the band formed when drummer Jed Laidlaw was visiting a bar called Le Surfing, based at Estagnot beach near Hossegor, to visit a friend he had met whilst teaching surfing in the Canary Islands. That night, singer Rory Williams was performing in the bar, where he also worked washing dishes. He had moved there a year earlier on his way to Biarritz to surf. They hit it off and decided to start a band to make some money over the winter season, alongside friends Robin Windram (guitar) and Pete Harper (bass). They originally formed a covers band called The Cheerleaders, relocating to the French Alps for the winter to perform ...

Hossegor
Soorts-Hossegor (; oc, Sòrts e Òssagòr) is a commune in the Landes department in Nouvelle-Aquitaine in southwestern France, 20 km (12 miles) north of Biarritz. It is a well known seaside resort that is renowned for its surfing. The city's economy is centered around surfing. Its inhabitants are called Hossegoriens. Name In 1913, the town associated the toponym of Hossegor, from the name of its marine lake, with its original name of Soorts. The root of Soorts is probably close to that of ''Sorde'', the verb or , , meaning "where there are sources". Related names are Sor (Ariège, Sort) and Sort-en-Chalosse (Landes) from the same Gascon etymon. The origin of ''Hossegor'' is more obscure: it may be an Aquitain or Basque name to be attached to the hydronyms ''osse'' and the adjective ''gorri'', meaning "dry water". History Hossegor became a seaside resort in the early twentieth century. It is located between the cities of Biarritz and Arcachon. Initially, it attract ...

''Guitar Hero Live'' is a 2015 music rhythm video game developed by FreeStyleGames and published by Activision. It is the seventh main installment in the ''Guitar Hero'' series. The game was released for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U, Xbox 360, and Xbox One in November 2015. As with previous games in the series, the goal is to use a special guitar controller to match fret patterns displayed on a scrolling note pattern on screen in time with the music. The game serves as a reboot of the ''Guitar Hero'' franchise, being the first new entry in the series since '' Warriors of Rock'' in 2010. Activision wanted to bring back ''Guitar Hero'' for the next generation of video game consoles but wanted the new game to be innovative. Landes De Gascogne
The Landes de Gascogne (in Gascon, classic spelling ''las Lanas de Gasconha'', Fébusienne spelling ''leus Lanes de Gascougne''), or Gascony Moors, is a natural region of France of nearly . It extends over three departments: Gironde, Landes and Lot-et-Garonne, and includes 386 communes. The region is a flat, sandy plain in the west of the Aquitaine Basin beside the Atlantic Ocean. The interior is cut off from the sea by a barrier of dunes. It is dominated by pine forests that cover 66% of the territory, with islets of agriculture over 18% of the territory. Before humans began to modify the landscape the Landes de Gascogne was covered by a mixed forest of deciduous and coniferous trees. This was largely cleared by around 600 AD and replaced by moorland (''landes''). Both sheep and cattle grazed here, but an epizootic in 1775 destroyed the cows and only sheep remained. The popular image of the Landes was that of a Gascon shepherd standing on stilts to watch over his flock. ...
