Sunset Season
''Sunset Season'' is the debut extended play by American singer-songwriter and social media personality Conan Gray. It was released under Republic Records on November 16, 2018. Sunset Season was primarily produced by Dan Nigro and co-produced by Conan Gray, who also wrote and composed the five-track EP. Gray released "Idle Town", "Generation Why", and "Crush Culture" as singles. The EP peaked at number two on the US Heatseeker Albums chart, and at number 116 on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart. Background Gray has cited Lorde's debut album, ''Pure Heroine'', as a major inspiration for the EP because of its small-town nostalgia. In November 2019, Gray took to Twitter to celebrate the one year anniversary of the EP's release, stating "can't even begin to explain how much these five songs changed my life, so i’m not even going to try to. just. i'm happier now than i've ever been my whole entire life. so thank u." Conan Lee Gray (born December 5, 1998) is an American singer and songwriter. Born in Lemon Grove, California and raised in Georgetown, Texas, he began uploading vlogs, Cover version, covers and original songs to YouTube as a teenager. Gray signed a record deal with Republic Records in 2018, where he released his debut EP ''Sunset Season'' (2018). Bolstered by the commercially successful singles "Maniac (Conan Gray song), Maniac" and "Heather (Conan Gray song), Heather", his debut studio album ''Kid Krow'' (2020) debuted at number five on the US Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200, making it the biggest US new artist debut of the year. The Official Charts (legal name: The Official UK Charts Company Limited) is a British inter-professional organization that compiles various "official" record charts in the United Kingdom, Ireland and France. In the United Kingdom, its charts include ones for singles, albums and films, with the data compiled from a mixture of downloads, purchases (of physical media) and streaming. The OCC produces its charts by gathering and combining sales data from retailers through market researchers Kantar, and claims to cover 99% of the singles market and 95% of the album market, and aims to collect data from any retailer who sells more than 100 chart items per week. UK Album Downloads Chart
The UK Album Downloads Chart is compiled by the Official Charts Company (OCC) on behalf of the music industry. Since July 2015, the chart week runs from Friday to Thursday, with the chart date given as the following Thursday. The chart was introduced in April 2006 to coincide with the OCC's decision to include sales of album downloads in the UK Albums Chart. The first album to top the download chart was ''This New Day'' by Embrace. The chart is published in ''Music Week'', ''UKChartsPlus'' and on the OCC's official website, with the former featuring the Top 75 downloads and the top 100 in the latter two. Daniel Nigro
Daniel A. Nigro (born October 11, 1948) was the Commissioner of the New York City Fire Department (FDNY) from 2014 until his retirement in 2022. Nigro's appointment was announced on May 9, 2014, and he was sworn in on June 9. Nigro was the 33rd Fire Commissioner in the 150-year history of the New York City Fire Department. Mellotron
The Mellotron is an electro-mechanical musical instrument developed in Birmingham, England, in 1963. It is played by pressing its keys, each of which pushes a length of magnetic tape against a capstan, which pulls it across a playback head. As the key is released, the tape is retracted by a spring to its initial position. Different portions of the tape can be played to access different sounds. The Mellotron evolved from the similar Chamberlin, but could be mass-produced more efficiently. The first models were designed for the home and contained a variety of sounds, including automatic accompaniments. Bandleader Eric Robinson and television personality David Nixon helped promote the first instruments, and celebrities such as Princess Margaret were early adopters. A screenshot is created by the operating system or software running on the device powering the display. It was founded by Avery Lipman and Monte Lipman as an independent label in 1995, and was acquired by UMG in 2000.
