''Sunset Park (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)'' is the soundtrack to Steve Gomer's 1996 film '' Sunset Park''. It was released on April 23, 1996 through EastWest Records America/Elektra Music Group. Recording sessions took place at Can-Am Studios, at Larrabee Studio and at Americayan Recording Studio in Los Angeles, at 36 Chambers Studio, at The Hit Factory, at Giant Recording Studio and at D&D Studios in New York, at Undercity Studios in Hackensack, at KrossWire Studio in Atlanta, at The Junk Yard in Orlando, and at Doorway Studios in Dallas. Sylvia Rhone (born March 11, 1952) is an American music industry executive. Since 2019, she is the chair and CEO of Epic Records, a label owned by Sony Music Entertainment. Rhone served previously in senior positions at Vested In Culture, Universal Motown, Elektra Entertainment Group, and Atlantic Records. In October 2004, Rhone was appointed president of Motown Records and executive vice president of Universal Records. "Are You Ready?" is an R&B song performed by singer Aaliyah. The song was written by Renee Neufville (of the R&B duo Zhané) and produced by DJ Kay Gee of Naughty by Nature for the soundtrack to the basketball film '' Sunset Park'' (1996). It was released as a promotional radio single for the soundtrack. This song samples "Movin' In The Right Direction" as performed by Steve Parks. "Keep On, Keepin' On" is a song by American rapper MC Lyte featuring American girl group Xscape. It was produced and co-written by Jermaine Dupri and samples Michael Jackson's 1989 single "Liberian Girl". It was featured on the soundtrack to '' Sunset Park'', starring Rhea Perlman, and later appeared also on MC Lyte's fifth studio album, '' Bad As I Wanna B'' (1996). The song became her highest charting single in the US, peaking at No. 10 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100, and it also became her second single to achieve a gold certification from the RIAA, earning the award on May 31, 1996. Mobb Deep was an American hip hop duo from New York City. The duo consisted of rappers Prodigy and Havoc.
