Tsotleho "Sunny" Jane is a Lesotho footballer who currently plays as a forward for Bantu FC in the Lesotho Premier League, and the Lesotho national team. Early life Jane was born in Lesotho and began playing soccer at age 4 watching his brother Jane Jane, a member of the Lesotho national football team. He moved to the United States with a host family in Kentucky to pursue a professional soccer career at age 13 after making contact with Thabane Sutu, a former goalkeeper for the Lesotho national team, who was coaching at United 1996 in Louisville. Maseru
Maseru is the capital and largest city of Lesotho. It is also the capital of the Maseru District. Located on the Caledon River, Maseru lies directly on the Lesotho–South Africa border. David Irving (footballer)
David Irving (born 10 September 1951) is an English football manager and former player who played as a forward. Playing career Irving started his professional playing career with Workington AFC before signing for Everton in the old English Football League First Division for £30,000 – the highest youth transfer fee of the time. Later on he moved to Sheffield United on loan and Oldham Athletic. In the mid-1970s he crossed the Atlantic to play in the United States for the Fort Lauderdale Strikers (1977–83). Whilst with the Strikers, he played alongside such legendary players as Gordon Banks, Gerd Müller, Teófilo Cubillas and George Best. He also played against footballers like Pelé and Franz Beckenbauer. The Charlotte Eagles are an American professional soccer team based in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. 2014 USL Pro Season
The 2014 USL Pro season was the fourth USL Pro season and the 28th season of third-division soccer in the United States. Teams Antigua Barracuda FC and VSI Tampa Bay FC folded following the 2013 season and were replaced by Sacramento Republic FC and Oklahoma City Energy FC. On January 29, 2014, the Los Angeles Galaxy of MLS announced that they would be fielding a USL Pro team, the LA Galaxy II. The Los Angeles Blues were rebranded Orange County Blues FC on February 5, 2014. Arizona United SC replaced Phoenix FC on March 13, 2014. Orlando City Soccer Club spent their final season in USL Pro playing at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on the campus of Walt Disney World Resort in Kissimmee, Florida. United States Soccer Pyramid
The United States soccer league system is a series of professional and amateur soccer leagues based, in whole or in part, in the United States. Sometimes called the American soccer pyramid, teams and leagues are not linked by the system of promotion and relegation typical in soccer elsewhere. Instead, the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) defines professional leagues in three levels, called divisions, with all other leagues sanctioned by the USSF not having an official designated level or division. For practical and historical reasons, some teams from Bermuda, Canada, and Puerto Rico (considered a separate country by FIFA) can also compete in these leagues. The USL Championship (USLC) is a professional men's soccer league in the United States that began its inaugural season in 2011. Wilmington Hammerheads FC was a semi-professional American soccer team based in Wilmington, North Carolina. Founded in 1996, the team last competed in the Premier Development League, the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid in 2017. History The Hammerheads had one championship in 2003, and were a finalist in 2002 and 2012, losing to the Long Island Rough Riders 2–1 in 2002 and losing 0–1 to the Charleston Battery in 2012. Wilmington found great success in the US Open Cup in their later years, regularly drawing MLS teams in the late rounds. The Major League Soccer Player Combine used to be a four-day annual showcase, occurring every January. For 2020 it will not happen. It seems that individual teams will be doing their own trials instead.
