Sunday With Miriam
''Sunday with Miriam (''previously ''Miriam Meets...)'' is an Irish radio talk show. The programme began initially in July 2009, as a summer filler, presented by ''Prime Time'' and ''Saturday Night with Miriam'' presenter Miriam O'Callaghan. The show is broadcast on a Sunday morning. In August 2009, it was announced the programme will have a permanent slot on a Sunday morning, just before ''The Marian Finucane Show''. The programme is sponsored by Irish Ferries. History ''Miriam Meets..'' originally began an eight-week run, to fill in for Eamon Dunphy's ''Conversations with Eamon Dunphy'', while he had summer holidays. Dunphy later announced he would cease presenting the programme. English Language

RTÉ Radio 1 ( ga, RTÉ Raidió 1) is an Irish national radio station owned and operated by RTÉ and is the direct descendant of Dublin radio station 2RN, which began broadcasting on a regular basis on 1 January 1926. The total budget for the station in 2010 was €18.4 million. It is the most-listened-to radio station in Ireland. History The Department of Posts and Telegraphs opened 2RN, the first Irish radio station, on 1 January 1926. Miriam O'Callaghan (media Personality)
Miriam O'Callaghan (born 6 January 1960) is an Irish television current affairs presenter with RTÉ. O'Callaghan has presented '' Prime Time'' since 1996, and her own summer talk show, '' Saturday Night with Miriam'', from 2005 onwards. In the summer of 2009, she began a radio show, '' Miriam Meets...'', since replaced by live show ''Sunday with Miriam''. She is also the first woman to present a full episode of '' The Late Late Show'', having done so amid a global pandemic when Ryan Tubridy was quarantined with (initially) suspected symptoms of the Covid-19 virus. Donnybrook () is a district of Dublin, Ireland. It is situated on the southside of the city, in the Dublin 4 postal district, and is home to the Irish public service broadcaster Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ). Filler is material of lower cost or quality that is used to fill a certain television time slot or physical medium, such as a music album. Television In the early days of television, most output was live. The hours of broadcast were limited and so a test card was commonly broadcast at other times. When a breakdown happened during a live broadcast, a standard recording filled in. On the BBC, a film of a potter's wheel was often used for this purpose, filmed at the Compton Potters' Arts Guild. Similar short films, such as a kitten playing, were also used as interludes or interstitial programs to fill gaps in TV schedules. ''Prime Time'' is an Irish current affairs television programme airing on RTÉ One on Tuesday and Thursday nights (following the '' RTÉ Nine O'Clock News''). The Marian Finucane Show
''The Marian Finucane Show'' was an Irish radio programme, presented by Marian Finucane. It aired Saturday - Sunday at 11:00 to 13:00. According to statistics from 2009, it was then the highest-rating weekend radio show in Ireland. When Finucane was away, Rachael English or Brendan O'Connor presented the programme. Finucane died on 2 January 2020. History The show started in 1999 after the retirement of veteran broadcaster Gay Byrne. She had moved from her ''Liveline'' slot which she had had since the late 1970s. The programme stayed in that early morning slot from 09:00 to 10:00 until 2005. Eamon Dunphy
Eamon Martin Dunphy (born 3 August 1945) is an Irish media personality, journalist, broadcaster, author, sports pundit and former professional association football, footballer. He grew up playing football for several youth teams including Stella Maris F.C., Stella Maris. Since retiring from the sport, he has become recognisable to Irish television audiences as a football analyst during coverage of the Premier League, UEFA Champions League and international football on RTÉ.
