Television, sometimes shortened to TV, is a telecommunication medium for transmitting moving images and sound. The term can refer to a television set, or the medium of television transmission. Television is a mass medium for advertising, entertainment, news, and sports. Television became available in crude experimental forms in the late 1920s, but only after several years of further development was the new technology marketed to consumers. After World War II, an improved form of black-and-white television broadcasting became popular in the United Kingdom and the United States, and television sets became commonplace in homes, businesses, and institutions. WCSP-FM
WCSP-FM, also known as C-SPAN Radio, is a radio station owned by the Cable-Satellite Public Affairs Network (C-SPAN) in Washington, D.C. The station is licensed to C-SPAN's corporate owner, the National Cable Satellite Corporation, and broadcasts on 90.1 MHz 24 hours a day. Its studios are located near Capitol Hill in C-SPAN’s headquarters. In addition to WCSP-FM, C-SPAN Radio programming is also available online at c-span.org and via satellite radio on SiriusXM channel 455. WCSP-FM broadcasts in the HD (digital) format. ''Fox News Sunday'' is a Sunday morning talk show that has aired on the broadcast Fox network since 1996, as a presentation of Fox News Channel. It is the only regularly scheduled Fox News program carried on the main Fox broadcast network. Hosted by Shannon Bream since 2022, the show features interviews with some of the biggest newsmakers in politics from the previous week and "takes on the week's hot political topics", in addition to panel discussions with other Fox contributors and a "power player of the week", which typically is a non-political "feel good" story to end the program. ''Issues and Answers'' was a once-weekly TV news program that was telecast by the American Broadcasting Company network from November 1960 to November 1981. The series was distributed to the ABC affiliate stations on Sunday afternoons for either live broadcast or video taped for later broadcast. ''Issues and Answers'' was ABC's response to such TV programs as NBC's ''Meet the Press'' and CBS's ''Face the Nation''. It featured TV reporters interviewing selected newsmakers of the contemporary time period – mostly government officials, both domestic and foreign. Martha Raddatz (; born February 14, 1953) is an American reporter with ABC News. She is the network's Chief Global Affairs Correspondent reporting for ABC's '' World News Tonight with David Muir'', ''Nightline'', and other network broadcasts. It premiered on November 15, 1981, with David Brinkley as its original anchor until his retirement in 1996. The program has been anchored by George Stephanopoulos since 2012, after first hosting it from 2002 to 2010. Martha Raddatz and Jonathan Karl have been co-hosts since 2016 and 2021, respectively.
