Sundance is a residential neighbourhood in the southeast quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located east of Macleod Trail, is bounded to the north and east by Midnapore and Fish Creek Provincial Park and to the south by Stoney Trail. The man-made ''Sundance Lake'' was constructed in the middle of the community, and residents have easy access to the public beach of Sikome Lake. Sundance was established in 1982. Chaparral is a residential neighbourhood in the southeast quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located at the southern edge of the city, south of the Stoney Trail. To the east it is bordered by the Bow River Valley, to the south by 194 Avenue SE, and to the west by Macleod Trail. It has three sub sections that are not officially recognized, Lake Chaparral, Chaparral Valley, and Chaparral Ridge. Chaparral was established in 1995, and named for the mediterranean climate biome. Alberta Provincial Highway No. 22X, commonly referred to as Highway 22X, is a highway in and around Calgary in the Canadian province of Alberta, extending to the east from Highway 22. It is concurrent with Stoney Trail (Highway 201) between 53 Street SW and 88 Street SE in Calgary, becoming a freeway and forming the southernmost portion of a ring road around Calgary. Silverado is a residential neighbourhood in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located near the southern edge of the city, south of Stoney Trail, east of the equestrian sports facility Spruce Meadows, West of Sheriff King Street and North of 194 Avenue S.W. Silverado is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 13 councillor. Development controversy Prior to the commencement of development of Silverado, the owners of nearby Spruce Meadows pushed for a wetlands development to be established between the residential area and the show-jumping facility. Calgary City Council approved the wetlands proposal in 2004, along with a request that one of the major roads leading into Spruce Meadows not be upgraded to a residential collector street, although Spruce Meadows was unsuccessful in getting the city to increase the setback between Silverado and the facility. McKenzie Lake, Calgary
McKenzie Lake is a suburban neighbourhood in southeast Calgary, Alberta. The community was in development from the mid-1980s through to present. The area is bordered by Deerfoot Trail on the east, Stoney Trail on the south, Fish Creek Provincial Park on the west, and 130th Ave SE on the north. The community is most known for its private lake and island in the centre of the community. Multimillion-dollar homes can be seen along both the ridge and the lake. Midnapore is a community within the City of Calgary in the province of Alberta, Canada. It is bounded to the north and east by Fish Creek Provincial Park, to the south by Sun Valley Boulevard and to the west by Macleod Trail. History Midnapore was once an unincorporated hamlet under the jurisdiction of the Municipal District of Turner Valley No. 32. The Hamlet of Midnapore and adjoining lands were annexed by the City of Calgary on December 30, 1961. Following annexation, Midnapore was established as a neighbourhood in 1977.
