Sun Junjie
Sun Junjie (; born 8 August 1985) is a Chinese badminton player. Career Sun Junjie came from the badminton family. His mother was a member of the Jiangsu provincial team, and his father Sun Zhian, was a Jiangsu coach. He started practicing badminton at the age of ten for losing his weight. In 2002, he entered the national second team, participated at the Asian and World Junior Championships, winning a boys' team bronze medal in Asia, boys' doubles bronze and mixed team gold at the World Junior Championships. Sun entered the national first team in 2004. He was selected to join the Badminton Branch of Federation University Sports of China competed at the 2008 World University Badminton Championships held in Braga, Portugal, helped the team clinch the gold medal, also won the bronze medals in the men's and mixed doubles event. The BWF Super Series Finals (named as BWF Super Series Masters Finals until 2009) was an annual badminton tournament held at the end of the year where the players with the most points from that calendar year's twelve events of the BWF Super Series competed for total prize money of at least US$ 1,000,000. Hendra Setiawan
Hendra Setiawan (born 25 August 1984) is an Indonesian badminton player. He is an Olympic Games gold medalist, four-time World Champion, two-time Asian Games gold medalist, and two-time All England champion. With these achievements, Setiawan has collected all major individual titles in badminton. He is considered to be one of the greatest men's doubles players in badminton history. Setiawan was ranked first in the men's doubles with two different partners. Together with Markis Kido, he achieved the world no. 1 in September 2007, and with Mohammad Ahsan in November 2013. He has collected six gold medals at the Southeast Asian Games with the acquisition of 3 in the men's doubles, and 3 in the team event. Markis Kido
Markis Kido (11 August 1984 – 14 June 2021) was an Indonesian badminton player and one of the world's leading in men's doubles discipline. He won the discipline's gold medal at the 2006 World Cup, 2007 World Championships, 2008 Olympic Games, 2009 Asia Championships, and 2010 Asian Games with Hendra Setiawan. Career In 2005, with Hendra Setiawan, he won the Asian Badminton Championships and the Indonesia Open. Xu Chen
Xu Chen (; born 29 November 1984) is a badminton player from China. In 2010, he (along with his partner Guo Zhendong) was ranked within the top 10 men's badminton doubles in the world. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed in the mixed doubles with Ma Jin, winning the silver medal. In the final they lost to Zhang Nan and Zhao Yunlei, also from China. He married a former Chinese national badminton team player, Pan Pan on 3 June 2014. The Fuzhou China Open, formerly known as China Masters, is an annual badminton tournament held in China. It became part of the BWF Super Series tournaments in 2007. In 2014 the level of the tournament was downgraded to BWF Grand Prix Gold because, although China bid in the autumn of 2012 to continue to host 2 BWF Super Series tournaments, the Changzhou bid was unsuccessful and the China Masters was replaced for the 2014–2017 Superseries cycle by the Australian Open. BWF Superseries
The BWF Super Series was a series of Grade 2 badminton tournaments, sanctioned by Badminton World Federation (BWF). It was launched on December 14, 2006 and implemented in 2007. Since 2011, the Super Series includes two levels of tournament, Super Series Premier and Super Series. A season of Super Series featured twelve tournaments around the world, including five of them classified as Super Series Premier. Super Series Premier tournament offers higher ranking point and higher minimum total prize money. Top eight players/pairs in each discipline in Super Series standings are invited to the Super Series Finals held at the year end. Tan Bin Shen
Tan Bin Shen (; born 24 January 1984) is a former badminton player from Malaysia. He assigned as Malaysia men's doubles national team coach in December 2020. Personal life In his early years, Tan favoured chess and music. Tan began to play badminton at the age of 7. At the age of 12, Tan's potential was spotted by a Selangor coach, Moo Chien Keat. The coach asked Tan's father if he could take him as a student. After receiving the nod from his father, the coach began to train Tan. Four years later, due to his great achievements, Tan was then drafted into the national squad. Tan is married with Melissa Lee, a law graduate from Northumbria University in United Kingdom.
