Sugar Symphony
''Sugar Symphony'' is the debut extended play (EP) by American recording duo Chloe x Halle. It was released under Parkwood Entertainment, under exclusive license to Columbia Records, on April 29, 2016. The EP was their first official release since being signed by Beyoncé. The EP features their debut single, "Drop". The music video for the single was produced by Shane Brown, directed by Andrew Hines and currently has over six million views on YouTube. In March 2016, Michelle Obama introduced Chloe and Halle at the White House Easter Egg Roll, where they performed "Fall" from the EP, alongside Michelle Obama's "This Is For My Girls" and an unreleased track, "Baby Bird". In June, they performed "Drop" at the YouTube Music Foundry in New York City, and later in the month at the BET Awards 2016 in Los Angeles. Chloe X Halle
Chloe x Halle are an Contemporary R&B, R&B duo composed of sisters Chloe Bailey, Chloe and Halle Bailey. At a young age, the sisters performed in minor acting roles before moving from Mableton, Georgia, to Los Angeles in 2012. The two began posting music covers to YouTube and were acknowledged by Beyoncé, who became their mentor and later signed them to her label, Parkwood Entertainment. The 16th BET Awards were held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California on June 26, 2016. The ceremony celebrated mass achievements in black entertainment and honored music, sports, television, and motion pictures released between April 1, 2015 and March 30, 2016. The nominees were announced on Friday, May 20, 2016, with Drake leading the pack with 9 nominations, while Beyoncé and Rihanna both followed behind with 6. Beyoncé ended up winning the most awards with 5, including Video of the Year. Beyoncé opened the show with a performance of "Freedom" with Kendrick Lamar. Tony Maserati is an American record producer and audio engineer specializing in mixing. He was involved in the development of the New York R&B and hip-hop scene in the 1990s, working with Mary J. Blige, Notorious B.I.G., Puff Daddy, and Queen Latifah. ''Rap-Up'' is a magazine launched in 2001 by founder Devin Lazerine. The publication was originally a website devoted to hip hop, until Lazerine decided to pitch the possibility of a magazine to several publishers. The magazine is focused on the hip hop and R&B aspect of the music industry, and predominantly features interviews with artists, actors and other entertainers. Issued quarterly, the magazine's target audience was the 14 to 28 demographic, although the demographic has become older over time.
