Etymology Sufri Bolkiah Secondary School is named after Prince Sufri Bolkiah, a brother of the current Sultan of Brunei, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah. History Sufri Bolkiah Secondary School was established on 1 August 1969 as Tutong English School. Previously, the school was a branch of the English Preparatory School under Anthony Abell College in Seria from 1967. A separate administration was eventually established when there was a rise in student population as well as increasing difficulty in administering the Tutong branch due to the long distance between Tutong and Seria. Anthony Abell College (, ') is a government secondary school in Seria, a town in Belait District, Brunei. It was one of the earliest secondary schools to be established in the country. The school provides five years of general secondary education leading up to O Level qualification. It has 630 students. The current principal is Mas Diana binti Haji Abdul Samat. History The early education began in 1952. Anthony Abell College founded in December 1952 and was known as the "Government English School". Tutong Sixth Form Centre
Tutong Sixth Form Centre (; Malay, abbreviated; ') is a sixth form centre in Tutong District, Brunei. It first opened its doors in 2012, and since then, accepts mainly secondary school leavers from the district. Background The school campus is located at Bukit Beruang, some 14 kilometres from the town of Tutong and about 60 kilometres from Bandar Seri Begawan. The construction began in 2009 and took 20 months to complete. It is estimated to have cost roughly 20 million Brunei dollars. It is the first dedicated sixth form centre in the district. Sixth form education for the district began in 2002 but was run under the administration of Sayyidina 'Othman Secondary School and thus shared facilities with the school's secondary education.
