Sue Redfern
Suzanne Redfern (born 26 October 1977) is an English cricket umpire and former player. She played for the England women's team between 1995 and 1999, including at the 1997 World Cup. Cricket career Born in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, Redfern began her county career with East Midlands in 1992, switching to Derbyshire in 1997 and Staffordshire in 2003, finally retiring after the 2008 season. 2022–23 Women's Big Bash League Season
The 2022–23 Women's Big Bash League season or WBBL, 08 was the eighth season of the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL), the semi-professional women's Twenty20 domestic cricket competition in Australia. The tournament was played from 13 October to 26 November 2022. The Perth Scorchers entered the season as the defending champions, having won their maiden title in WBBL07, but failed to qualify for the finals. The Sydney Sixers won eleven games during the regular season—a new WBBL record—and finished on top of the points table for the fourth time in the team's history, thereby automatically qualifying (and earning host rights) for the Final. Jacqueline Williams (born 4 March 1976) is a Jamaican cricket umpire. She stood as an umpire in the 2015 ICC Women's World Twenty20 Qualifier tournament. She became the first female umpire to stand in the domestic 50-over competition in the West Indies, when she was one of the on-field umpires in the match between Trinidad & Tobago and ICC Americas in the 2015–16 Regional Super50 tournament. Oman National Cricket Team
The Oman national cricket team is the team that represents the country of Oman and is governed by the Oman Cricket Board, which became an Affiliate Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 2000, and gained Associate status in 2014. The 2016 ICC World Cricket League Division Five was an international cricket tournament that took place in Jersey during May 2016. It formed part of the 2012–18 ICC World Cricket League, 2012–18 cycle of the World Cricket League (WCL). 2015 ICC Women's World Twenty20 Qualifier
The 2015 ICC Women's World Twenty20 Qualifier was an international women's cricket tournament held in Thailand from 28 November to 5 December 2015. It was the second edition of the Women's World Twenty20 Qualifier. Eight teams contested the tournament, with the hosts, Thailand, being joined by the bottom two teams from the 2014 World Twenty20 and five regional qualifiers. Ireland defeated Bangladesh in the final by two wickets, with both teams qualifying for the 2016 World Twenty20 tournament in India. Bangladesh's Rumana Ahmed was the player of the tournament and was the leading wicket-taker, while Ireland's Cecelia Joyce led the tournament in runs. Fourth Umpire
The fourth umpire (sometimes referred to as the reserve umpire), is a cricket umpire. For all international matches a fourth umpire is required to perform duties like bringing on the new ball, carrying drinks on to the field for the umpires, checking the batteries in the light meter, observing the pitch during the lunch and tea intervals to make sure there is no interference, or bringing on new bails. The fourth umpire will take over the third umpire duties if something happens to one of the on-field umpires, as the rules state the third umpire will take over on-field duties. For Test matches, the fourth umpire is appointed by the home side's Governing body from their nominees to the International Panel of ICC Umpires, so has the same nationality as the home side. Women's One Day International
Women's One Day International (WODI) is the limited overs form of women's cricket. Matches are scheduled for 50 overs, equivalent to the men's game. The first women's ODIs were played in 1973, as part of the first Women's World Cup which was held in England. The first ODI saw the hosts beat an International XI. The 1,000th women's ODI took place between South Africa and New Zealand on 13 October 2016. WODI status is determined by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and was restricted to full members of the ICC. In May 2022, the ICC awarded WODI status to five more teams.
