Subhashish Roy Chowdhury (born 27 September 1986) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for I-League club Real Kashmir. Club career Early career Born in Kolkata, West Bengal, Chowdhury started his career at the Tata Football Academy. He began his professional career at East Bengal at the National Football League. He stayed at the club for one season before joining fellow NFL side Mahindra United in 2005. While with Mahindra United, Chowdhury helped his side win the Durand Cup in 2008; beating Churchill Brothers 3–2. Dempo After Mahindra United disbanded in 2010 Chowdhury signed for Dempo of the I-League. While with Dempo, Chowdhury helped the Goan side win the I-League in 2011. The India national under-23 football team represents India in international under-23 football and is controlled by the All India Football Federation (AIFF). A member of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), the team is eligible to compete in the Summer Olympic Games, the AFC U-23 Asian Cup, and the Asian Games, subject to qualification. Since only allowing under-23 sides to compete in the Olympic Games in 1992, India have never qualified for the summer games. 2014 ISL Inaugural Domestic Draft
The 2014 ISL Inaugural Domestic Draft was the first ever draft from the Indian Super League, the new franchise domestic football league in India. The draft featured eighty-four Indian domestic players. They were drafted by six out of the eight franchises featured in the Indian Super League to form the domestic core of the teams. NorthEast United FC and Goa ISL team, Goa were the two non-participating teams as they selected their Indian players from both I-League teams, Dempo S.C., Dempo and Shillong Lajong F.C., Shillong Lajong respectively. ATK (formerly Atlético de Kolkata) was an Indian professional football club based in Kolkata, West Bengal. The Indian Super League (ISL) is an Indian professional league for men's association football clubs. At the top of the Indian football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. Organised by the All India Football Federation (AIFF), and their commercial partners Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL), it is officially known as Hero Indian Super League for sponsorship ties with Hero MotoCorp. The league currently comprises 11 clubs. Each season of the tournament generally runs from October to March. The 2013–14 I-League (known as the ''Airtel I-League'' for sponsorship reasons) was the seventh season of the I-League, the top-tier Indian professional league for football clubs, since its establishment in 2007. The season began on 21 September 2013, and ended on 28 April 2014. Churchill Brothers were the defending champions, having won their second I-League title in the previous season.
