Stéphane Picq
Stéphane Picq (born 16 August 1965) is a French composer of video game music, primarily for ERE Informatique/Exxos and Cryo Interactive. History Picq first began composing in 1987. He retired from the industry in 1998 and moved to Madagascar. In February 2006, he announced that he was building a new studio in Madagascar and may release a compilation of old songs. On 13 November 2015 ZOOM Platform and the Jordan Freeman Group revealed that Stéphane Picq, original musical composer for MegaRace 1, had joined the MegaRace Reboot Team and would be composing the soundtrack with other team members, including Jordan Freeman and Max Petrosky, along with some special guests. The news had actually broken on the previous day, 12 November 2015, via the MegaRace Reboot's official Facebook page. ''Dragon Lore: The Legend Begins'' is a point-and-click adventure game released in 1994 by Cryo Interactive for MS-DOS, and later ported to the 3DO video game console. The game was a commercial success, with sales of 300,000 units by 1997. An emulated version was released for Microsoft Windows and macOS in 2013. Gameplay ''Dragon Lore'' is a point and click adventure game seen from the first person perspective, with static backgrounds and a few animated objects. The inventory system and general atmosphere of the whole game feels very much like an RPG, despite the fact that character progression of any kind is almost non-existent. OverClocked ReMix, also known as OC ReMix and OCR, is a non-commercial organization dedicated to preserving and paying tribute to video game music through arranging and re-interpreting the songs, both with new technology and software and by various traditional means. Riverworld (video Game)
Riverworld is a PC game released in 1998 by Cryo Interactive, based on the series of novels by Philip José Farmer. In the game, the player takes the role of Richard Burton, the nineteenth century explorer. The game begins with a cinematic sequence showing what happens to Burton after he has died – how he comes to enter Riverworld. ''Riverworld'' is a real time strategy game, similar to Microsoft's ''Age of Empires''. Although Burton is the central character, it is seen from a third-person perspective, and other people within the game can be moved and controlled. Designed to run on MS-DOS, ''Commander Blood'' was released in 1994. ''The Big Bug Bang'', the sequel to ''Commander Blood'', was released in 1996, and was available in French only.
