Stéphane Brizé (born 18 October 1966) is a French film director, producer, screenwriter and actor. Life and career Stéphane Brizé was born on 18 October 1966 in Rennes, France. He attended a University Institutes of Technology and moved to Paris, where he started his career in theater and television, before moving on to short films and feature films. The 71st annual Cannes Film Festival was held from 8 to 19 May 2018. Australian actress Cate Blanchett acted as President of the Jury. The Japanese film ''Shoplifters'', directed by Hirokazu Kore-eda, won the Palme d'Or. The 73rd annual Venice International Film Festival was held from 31 August to 10 September 2016. English director Sam Mendes was the President of the Jury for the main competition. The Louis Delluc Prize (french: Prix Louis-Delluc ) is a French film award presented annually since 1937. The award is bestowed to the Best Film and Best First Film of the year on the second week of each December. The jury is composed of 20 members, consisting of a group of film critics and figures who are culturally significant. Gilles Jacob is the president. The Prix Jacques Prévert du Scénario is a French film award created in 2007 by the French Screenwriters Guild (''La Guilde Française des Scénaristes''), a trade association which represents more than 350 screenwriters working in the film, television and animation sectors in France.
