Stuttgart–Horb Railway
The Stuttgart–Horb railway is a 67.227 kilometer-long railway in the southern part of the state of Baden-Württemberg in Germany, running from Stuttgart to Horb. It forms part of a railway known as the Gäubahn () or Gäu Railway. The Royal Württemberg State Railways (''Königlich Württembergischen Staats-Eisenbahnen'' or ''K.W.St.E.'') and the Baden State Railways (''Badische Staatseisenbahnen'') constructed the majority of this line between the years 1866 and 1879. Today the partially single-track, fully electrified line features the high-speed Intercity-Express (ICE) service, with its tilting train technology, traveling from Stuttgart to Zurich. Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof
Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof (; en, Stuttgart central station) is the primary railway station in the city of Stuttgart, the state capital of Baden-Württemberg, in southwestern Germany. Schönbuch
Schönbuch is an almost completely wooded area south west of Stuttgart and part of the Southern German Escarpment Landscape (German: ''südwestdeutsches Schichtstufenland''). In 1972 the centre zone of Schönbuch became the first nature park in Baden-Württemberg. Stuttgart Österfeld Station
Österfeld station is located in the Stuttgart district of Vaihingen in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. It was built in 1985 at the junction of the main line of the Stuttgart S-Bahn where it emerges from the Hasenberg tunnel and connects with the Stuttgart–Horb railway, which runs above ground. Attached to the station is a park-and-ride car park with 500 places, which is directly accessible from the A 831 autobahn. The station is otherwise only accessible by foot. The Black Forest (german: Schwarzwald ) is a large forested mountain range in the state of Baden-Württemberg in southwest Germany, bounded by the Rhine Valley to the west and south and close to the borders with France and Switzerland.
