Stuart Shanker
Dr. Stuart G. Shanker, (born October 14, 1952), is a research professor emeritus of Philosophy and Psychology at York University and the Founder/CEO of The MEHRIT Centr(TMC) He is also the founder and Science Director of thSelf-Regulation Institute (SRI) and an acclaimed author and international speaker. He is best known as Canada's leading expert in the psychophysiological theory of self-regulation. Education Dr. Shanker began his university education at the University of Toronto, Ontario. He won several awards while there, including a scholarship to study at the University of Oxford. While studying at Oxford, he obtained a first in PPE. In addition, he completed his Bachelor of Philosophy and Doctor of Philosophy and was awarded the position of postdoctoral research fellow at Christ Church, Oxford.(2006). James Fraser Mustard
James Fraser Mustard (October 16, 1927 – November 16, 2011) was a Canadian doctor and renowned researcher in early childhood development. Born, raised and educated in Toronto, Ontario, Mustard began his career as a research fellow at the University of Toronto where he studied the effects of blood lipids, their relation to heart disease and how Aspirin could mitigate those effects. He published the first clinical trial showing that aspirin could prevent heart attacks and strokes. In 1966, he was one of the founding faculty members at McMaster University's newly established medical school. He was the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences and the medical school at McMaster University from 1972–1982.
