Stuart Leslie
Stuart Leslie is a Belizean public servant and ambassador. He served as Belize's Permanent Representative to the United Nations from 2000 to 2005. He served as Belize's Chief Elections Officer from September 2005 to December 2006. In January 2006, he took up a new appointment as the Ambassador of Trade in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade. Following the retirement of Sir Colville Young on 30 April 2021, he became acting Governor-General of Belize. Belize (; bzj, Bileez) is a Caribbean and Central American country on the northeastern coast of Central America. Great Belize Television, or as it is locally known, Channel 5, is a Belize City-based local television station established in December 1991. Channel 5 airs mostly American and Caribbean programs, as well as a variety of locally produced programs. It is a subsidiary of Great Belize Productions, a local production company established in 1982. Channel 5 is affiliated with the Caribbean Broadcasting Union and its subsidiary the Caribbean Media Corporation. Colville Young
Sir Colville Norbert Young (born 20 November 1932) is a Belizeans, Belizean politician who served as the 2nd Governor-General of Belize. He is also a patron of the Scouting, Scout Association of Belize. He was appointed as the Governor-General in 1993, taking office on 17 November of that year, and was knighted in 1994. His tenure of 28 years is the longest of any governor-general in the history of the Commonwealth. Froyla Tzalam
Dame Froyla Tzalam, , is a Belizean Mopan Maya anthropologist and community leader, who has served as the Governor-General of Belize since 27 May 2021. She is the first indigenous person of Maya descent to serve as governor-general of any country in the history of the Commonwealth. Education Tzalam is from the village of San Antonio, Toledo. She graduated with a BA in Anthropology from Trinity University, Texas. This was followed by a MA in Rural Development from University of Sussex. Career She was the executive director of the Sarstoon Temash Institute for Indigenous Management (SATIIM).
