Stu Allan
Stu Allan (6 February 1962 – 22 September 2022) was a British dance music DJ and producer who worked for Piccadilly Radio and Key 103 in Manchester in the 1980s and 1990s. His hip hop, hardcore techno and house music mixes ranked him the world's No. 3 DJ by ''DJ Magazine'' in 1993 and his performances influenced significantly the music scene during this period. Allan continued to remain a major contributor within the UK hardcore scene.. Biography Born and raised in Anglesey, Wales, he moved to Manchester in 1982 and took up DJing. Between 1984 and 1986, his mixes/remixes were featured on Piccadilly Radio, Manchester on various shows including those of Timmy Mallet, Chris Evans, and Tim Grundy. Anglesey
Anglesey (; cy, (Ynys) Môn ) is an island off the north-west coast of Wales. Pure Dance was a UK radio station specialising in dance music. It broadcast on digital satellite television, and by Internet, in Windows Media, RealPlayer and mp3PRO. Typical music included trance, hardcore, old skool, and the very latest straight from the clubs. The channel began falling silent for long periods of time in January 2006, with its website and webstreams going offline. It was removed from the Sky EPG in March 2006 after having not transmitted any audio for over two weeks. Kiss is a British digital radio station owned and operated by Bauer as part of the Kiss Network. It is primarily aimed at the 15-34 age group and broadcasts nationally to the UK on DAB Digital Radio, as well as on FM in London, Bristol and the Severn Estuary, and East Anglia. Clock (dance Act)
Clock were an English band primarily led by Stu Allan and Pete Pritchard and fronted by rapper Marcus Thomas (using the name ODC MC) and vocalist Lorna Saunders (using the name Tinka), though the single "Keep the Fires Burning" was sung by Georgia Lewis. They resembled many Eurodance acts of the time with a female singer and male rapper. Their earlier work was harder, similar to Cappella, but once they started releasing covers, their sound became more dance/pop oriented. Thomas left in 1998 to join the band Tzant, to be replaced by Ché-gun Peters. They had a string of top 40 hits with nine covers during the 1990s on the UK Singles Chart. They also released hardcore versions of their hits under the name Visa. Clock broke up in 1999 due to a number of personal reasons; they were not able to continue at the same pace as they had before.
