"Strutter" is a song by the American rock band Kiss, released in 1974 on their self-titled debut album, ''Kiss''. It was the third single released from the album and failed to chart. "Strutter" is one of the few Kiss songs written by Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley together. Stanley wrote new lyrics to "Stanley the Parrot", a song whose music was composed by Simmons. Rocket Ride (song)
"Rocket Ride" is a song by the American hard rock band Kiss. It was originally featured on their 1977 album ''Alive II''. Background "Rocket Ride" was written by Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley and Sean Delaney. Frehley sang lead vocals, and he noted in the booklet for the 2001 ''Kiss Box Set'' that this was his first vocal performance that he was satisfied with. It was the only studio track of the five recorded for ''Alive II'' that he performed on, as Bob Kulick was brought in to play guitar on some of the other tracks. Like many of Kiss's works, the song is a double entendre, using space travel (appropriate to Frehley's onstage "Spaceman" persona) as an innuendo for sexual intercourse. Hide recreated the intro of the song for his own 1998 single "Rocket Dive", the title also being an homage to the track. "Kissin' Time" is a song by the American rock and roll singer Bobby Rydell. It was released in 1959 on Cameo-Parkway Records. Written by Bernie Lowe and Kal Mann, the track was Rydell's first single and it would also go on to be his first Top 20 hit. Background Bernie Lowe and Kal Mann, founders of Rydell's label, wrote "Kissin' Time". In the US, it quickly became a number 11 hit on the Hot 100, number 29 on the Hot R&B Sides chart, and number 5 in the Canadian CHUM Charts. It is the first single the band had ever released and the first single off the album, with "Love Theme from KISS" as the B-side. Although the song failed to chart, it has remained a concert staple during the 1970s and was featured on many live albums and compilations. ''Detroit Rock City'' is a 1999 American teen comedy film directed by Adam Rifkin and written by Carl V. Dupré. The Donnas
The Donnas were an American rock band formed in Palo Alto, California, in 1993. The band consisted of Brett Anderson (lead vocals), Allison Robertson (guitar, backing vocals), Maya Ford (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Torry Castellano (drums, percussion, backing vocals). Amy Cesari replaced Castellano, who left the band in 2009 due to tendonitis. They drew inspiration from the Ramones, The Runaways, Girlschool, AC/DC, Bachman–Turner Overdrive and Kiss.
