''Street Sweeper Social Club'' is the debut self-titled album by American rap rock supergroup Street Sweeper Social Club, composed of guitarist Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave and rapper/emcee Boots Riley of The Coup. The album was released by Warner Music Group on June 16, 2009. The first single from the album, entitled "100 Little Curses", premiered on the band's Myspace on April 27, 2009. Two additional songs from the album: "Clap for the Killers" and "The Oath" were released on the ''NINJA 2009 Tour Sampler'', the EP sampler supporting the 2009 ''NIN, JA'' tour with Nine Inch Nails and Jane's Addiction. Morello describes the album as "revolutionary party jams. A supergroup is a musical group whose members are successful as solo artists or as members of other successful groups. The term became popular in the late 1960s when members of already successful rock groups recorded albums together, after which they normally disband. Stanton Moore (born July 9, 1972) is an American funk, jazz, and rock drummer from New Orleans. Most widely known as a founding member of Galactic, Moore has also pursued a solo recording career (beginning with his 1998 debut ''All Kooked Out!'') and recorded with bands as diverse as jazz-funk keyboardist Robert Walter and heavy metal act Corrosion of Conformity. He also travels internationally to teach New Orleans drumming, writes regularly for drumming magazines, and releases instructional books and videos.
