Street Fighting Man (band)
Street Fighting Man is a Swedish-American rock band based in Stockholm, Sweden. History Street Fighting Man started as an idea between friends Adel Dahdal and Eric Turner. The band was formed in 2006 and the line-up finalized in early 2007 when Henrik Holmlund joined on drums. Since then the band has had a series of rotating "deputy members" on bass, piano and rhythm guitar. The band has played a handful of shows at clubs in Stockholm (Landet, Trädgården, Mosebacke, Debaser, Sommar!) as well as the Peace & Love and Rookie festivals. In April 2010 Street Fighting Man opened for The Sounds at Debaser Medis in Stockholm. Street Fighting Man has released two singles to date: "Raise It" and "Learning to Die", and one studio album: "The Shadow", which was recorded together with producer Patrik Berger, and released in early 2011. Peace & Love (festival)
Peace & Love was the largest music festival in Sweden, known for its Humanitarianism, humanitarian message, pervasive throughout the event. It started in Borlänge and ran from 1999 until the company filed for bankruptcy in 2013. The Peace & Love Crew announced that they would continue to do the much loved festival and in 2014 the festivals were back on under the name "Peace & Love World Forum". Since then it has expanded and has gone back to its old name "Peace & Love". The festival was cancelled in 2020 due to the ongoing pandemic, and shortly the festival declared bankruptcy. History The Peace & Love Festival was first held in 1999, as a reaction to the ongoing violence. The first festival was held at a club in central Borlänge, with about 900 attendees. The Sounds
The Sounds are a Swedish indie rock band. Formed in Helsingborg in 1998, the group's musical style has been compared to new wave acts such as Blondie, The Cars, the Epoxies and Missing Persons. Their debut album, '' Living in America'', was released in 2002, with the follow-up '' Dying to Say This to You'' in 2006.
