Stratis (configuration Daemon)
Stratis is a user-space configuration daemon (computing), daemon that configures and monitors existing components from Linux's underlying storage components of logical volume management (LVM) and XFS filesystem via D-Bus. Details Stratis is not a user-level filesystem like the Filesystem in Userspace (FUSE) system. Stratis configuration daemon was originally developed by Red Hat to have feature parity with ZFS and Btrfs. The hope was due to Stratis configuration daemon being in userland, it would more quickly reach maturity versus the years of kernel level development of file systems ZFS and Btrfs. It is built upon enterprise-tested components LVM and XFS with over a decade of enterprise deployments and the lessons learned from System Storage Manager in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7. Stratis provides ZFS/Btrfs-style features by integrating layers of existing technology: Linux's device mapper subsystem, and the XFS filesystem. The ''stratisd'' daemon manages collections of block ...

Stratis (Greyhawk)
This is a list of deities from the Greyhawk campaign setting for the ''Dungeons & Dragons'' fantasy role-playing game. A Al'Akbar Al'Akbar is the Baklunish demigod of dignity, duty, faithfulness, and guardianship. His symbol is a cup and eight-pointed star, images of the legendary '' Cup and Talisman'' that now bear his name. Al'Akbar is subordinate to the other Baklunish gods, remaining a mere demigod out of respect for them. His faithful oppose the sadistic elemental cults of Ull. Al'Akbar is allied with Heironeous. Al'Akbar's priests use the Cup and Talisman as metaphors for the good life, urging their flocks to be vessels of kindness and emblems of devotion. Al'Akbar was the most exalted high priest in what are now the lands of the Paynims. After the Invoked Devastation, during that time of misery and suffering, he was given the ''Cup and Talisman'' by Al'Asran to help heal his people's ills and return them to the traditional Baklunish faith. Al'Akbar founded the ci ...

The island was named after Saint Eustratius (Όσιος Ευστράτιος ο Θαυματουργός), who lived on the island in the 9th century as an exile, because he was opposed to the iconoclastic policies of the Byzantine Emperor Leo the Armenian. His grave is still being shown by the inhabitants. The i ...
