Stoyan Stoyanov
Stoyan Iliev Stoyanov ( bg, Стоян Илиев Стоянов; 12 March 1913 – 13 March 1997) was the highest scoring Bulgarian fighter ace of the Royal Bulgarian Air Force in World War II with 15 victories. Early life Stoyan Stoyanov was born 12 March 1913 in the village of Galata (now a part of the city of Varna). He was one of five siblings. Five months before his birth, his father, a flag bearer of the 8th Sea-Regiment of Varna in the Balkan war, was killed in a battle against the Ottoman Army near the town of Edirne, near Istanbul. Because of his father's death, he was accepted in a school for war-orphans in Varna. He sold newspapers in the streets of Varna. He continued his secondary education in the national Seminary (in Sofia), which he entered in 1930. Stoyan Gadev ( bg, Стоян Гъдев; 1931–1999) was a Bulgarian stage and film actor. He is probably best known for the role of Stoil the Haidouk in the popular TV series '' Captain Petko Voivode'' (1981) written by Nikolay Haytov. Gadev is also known for his colourful appearances in classic film productions as ''The Tied Up Balloon'' (1967), ''Eternal Times'' (1974), '' A Cricket in the Ear'' (1976) and ''King for a Day'' (1983). Stoyan Gadev started his career on the stage at the theatres of Burgas, Sliven, Dimitrovgrad and Pernik before joining the troupe of the Youth Theatre, Sofia. In the beginning of the 1990s, he was briefly a member of the Municipal Theatre Sofia. Stoyan Mihaylovski
Stoyan Nikolov Mihaylovski ( bg, Стоян Николов Михайловски; 7 January 1856 – 3 August 1927) was a Bulgarian writer and social figure. Biography Mihaylovski was born to a prominent Bulgarian National Revival family in Elena as the son of Nikola Mihaylovski and the nephew of religious leader Stoyan Mihaylovski, better known as Ilarion Makariopolski. Having begun his education in Tarnovo in 1865–1868, he finished the Galatasaray High School in the Ottoman capital Istanbul in 1872. At Galatasaray, Mihaylovski was a classmate of Konstantin Velichkov. From 1872 to 1874, Mihaylovski was a teacher in Dojran, Macedonia; in 1875, he travelled to France to study law at the University of Aix in Aix-en-Provence. After the Liberation of Bulgaria in 1878, Mihaylovski worked as a lawyer and judge in the Principality of Bulgaria. From 1878 to 1879 he was member of the Svishtov legal council. Stoyan Zagorchinov (Стоян Загорчинов; 1889–1969) was a Bulgarian writer. He is the author of ''Last Day, God's Day'', one of the first social-historical epic novel in Bulgarian literature. Zagorchinov was also an author of plays, essays, portrait pieces, articles and memoirs. Zagorchinov was born in 1889 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. It is unknown whether his birth date is 3 December or 3 March. He studied history at Sofia University. Then he continued studies of history and philosophy in Geneva, Switzerland. He graduated from Sofia University with a major in History and French language. During the years 1920–1925 Zagorchinov taught French at the Naval Force School in Varna. Stoyan Kolev ( bg, Стоян Колев; born 3 February 1976, in Sliven) is a former Bulgarian footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He is currently a goalkeeper coach at CSKA Sofia. Career In summer of 2001 Kolev joined CSKA Sofia and was loaned to Beroe Stara Zagora on a three-month deal. He made his debut for Beroe on 10 November 2001, keeping a clean sheet in a 0–0 draw against Levski Sofia. In early 2002 he returned to CSKA. On 11 May 2002, Kolev made his first appearance for CSKA in a 0–2 loss against Slavia Sofia. He started 2002–03 season as the first choice goalkeeper in CSKA and kept a total of 13 clean sheets in 24 appearances and conceding only 14 goals at less than a goal a game as CSKA won their 29th A PFG title. Stoyan Stavrev ( bg, Стоян Ставрев; born 7 December 1975) is a former Bulgarian football goalkeeper, and currently the goalkeeping coach at Cherno More Varna. Career Stavrev joined Litex Lovech in the summer of 1997. On 12 November 1997, he made his Litex debut in a 2–1 victory against Kremikovtsi in the Bulgarian Cup Second Round. Stavrev played 76 league matches in seven years for Litex's first team, as he was often the club's second-choice keeper behind Vitomir Vutov. Stoyan Alexandrov (; 14 June 1949 – 24 August 2020) was a Bulgarian economist, and the Minister of Finance under Prime Minister Lyuben Berov. Alexandrov was born in Iliya, Kystendil. A graduate of the Svishtov Academy of Economics, he was the President of the Directors' Council, Chief Executive Director of the CCB, and President of the Governing Council of the Association of Commerce Banks. Previously from 1975 until 1993, Alexandrov was a lecturer at the University of National and World Economy and was the Bulgarian Socialist Party candidate for Mayor of Sofia Sofia ( ; bg, София, Sofiya, ) is the capital and largest city of Bulgaria.
