Stoyan Gadev
Stoyan Gadev ( bg, Стоян Гъдев; 1931–1999) was a Bulgarian stage and film actor. He is probably best known for the role of Stoil the Haidouk in the popular TV series '' Captain Petko Voivode'' (1981) written by Nikolay Haytov. Gadev is also known for his colourful appearances in classic film productions as ''The Tied Up Balloon'' (1967), ''Eternal Times'' (1974), '' A Cricket in the Ear'' (1976) and ''King for a Day'' (1983). Stoyan Gadev started his career on the stage at the theatres of Burgas, Sliven, Dimitrovgrad and Pernik before joining the troupe of the Youth Theatre, Sofia. In the beginning of the 1990s, he was briefly a member of the Municipal Theatre Sofia. ''A Cricket in the Ear'' ( bg, Щурец в ухото / ''Shturets v uhoto'') is a Bulgarian comedy-drama film released in 1976, directed by Georgi K. Stoyanov, starring Pavel Popandov, Stefan Mavrodiev, Itzhak Fintzi, Tatyana Lolova and Petar Slabakov. A comedy with a spice of drama about two young men who live in the country but decide to move to the big city. All the travel turns into a reason for consideration and giving a new meaning to their past and future life. Do they finally arrive in the big city or come back to their village? Plot Evtim (Popandov) and Pesho (Mavrodiev), two young men, decided to leave their native village and move to the big city. Pernik
Pernik ( bg, Перник ) is a town in western Bulgaria (about south-west of Sofia) with a population of 70,285 . Pernik is the most populated town in western Bulgaria after Sofia. It is the main town of Pernik Province and lies on both banks of the Struma River in the Pernik Valley between the Golo Bardo Mountain, Vitosha Mountain, Lyulin and Viskyar mountains. Pernik is the principal town of Pernik Province – a province in western Bulgaria, which is next to the Serbian border. Originally the site of a Thracian fortress founded in the 4th century BC, and later a Roman settlement, Pernik became part of the Bulgarian Empire in the early 9th century as an important fortress.
