Stormy Liberal
Stormy Liberal (foaled April 12, 2012) is a retired American Thoroughbred racehorse. He broke his maiden in his second start at age two but won only once in the next two years. In October 2016, he was claimed by trainer Peter Miller for $40,000 and went on to become a multiple stakes winner, including back-to-back wins in the Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint in 2017 and 2018. Saffron Walden (foaled 5 March 1996) was a French-bred, Irish-trained Thoroughbred racehorse and sire (horse), sire. Bred by Stavros Niarchos he fetched IR£1,200,000 as a yearling (horse), yearling and showed considerable promise on his only run as a two-year-old when he finished second in the Killavullan Stakes. In the spring of 1999 he emerged as a top-class miler, winning the Leopardstown 2,000 Guineas Trial Stakes, 2000 Guineas Trial Stakes before recording an emphatic victory in the Irish 2000 Guineas. He was fancied for Epsom Derby, The Derby but finished seventh and was disappointing in his two subsequent races. Al Quoz Sprint is a thoroughbred horse race held in Meydan Racecourse, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It was first run in 2007 as part of the then, Dubai International Racing Carnival and subsequently moved to Dubai World Cup night in 2010 to coincide with the opening of Meydan Racecourse . Meydan Racecourse
Meydan Racecourse is a racecourse in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The grandstand is over a mile in length, and can accommodate over 60,000 spectators. Meydan opened on 27 March 2010, replacing Nad Al Sheba Racecourse, which formerly occupied the same site. It includes a horse racing museum, gallery and five-star hotel and nine-hole golf course. Sha Tin, also spelt Shatin, is a neighbourhood along Shing Mun River in the eastern New Territories, Hong Kong. Administratively, it is part of the Sha Tin District. Belmont Park is a major thoroughbred horse racing facility in the northeastern United States, located in Elmont, New York, just east of the New York City limits. It was opened on May 4, 1905. Jaipur Invitational Stakes
The Jaipur Stakes is a Grade I American Thoroughbred horse race for horses aged three years old and older held over a distance of six furlongs on the turf scheduled annually in early June at Belmont Park in Elmont, New York. The event currently carries a purse of $400,000. History The race is named after Jaipur, the Champion three-year-old colt of 1962 who ran one of the most memorable Travers Stakes on record. The race was run at seven furlongs in 1986 to 2005, and again from 2011 to 2013. All other renewals have been at six furlongs. For three years (1986, 1994, and 1995), it was run in two divisions. In 2013, heavy rain forced the Jaipur to be moved from the turf to the sloppy main track. Because of the move, the stakes race lost its Grade III status for that renewal. Graded Stakes Race
A graded stakes race is a thoroughbred horse race in the United States that meets the criteria of the American Graded Stakes Committee of the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (TOBA). A specific grade level (I, II, III or listed) is then assigned to the race, based on statistical analysis of the quality of the field in previous years, provided the race meets the minimum purse criteria for the grade in question. In Canada, a similar grading system is maintained by the Jockey Club of Canada. Graded stakes races are similar to Group races in Europe but the grading is more dynamic in North America. The grading system was designed in 1973 and first published in 1974. Roy H (foaled April 22, 2012) is a Thoroughbred racehorse who is the two time winner of the Breeders' Cup Sprint. He was named the American Champion Sprint Horse of 2017 and 2018. He did not start racing until age three, when he won only one race, and he was winless at age four. In 2017 at age five however, he developed into the best sprinter in North America by winning the True North Stakes, Santa Anita Sprint Championship and Breeders' Cup Sprint.
