Toto (stylized as TOTO) is an American rock band formed in 1977 in Los Angeles. The band's current lineup consists of Steve Lukather (guitars and vocals), David Paich (keyboards and vocals), and Joseph Williams (vocals), as well as touring musicians John Pierce (bass), Robert "Sput" Searight (drums), Dominique "Xavier" Taplin (keyboards and vocals), Steve Maggiora (keyboards and vocals), and Warren Ham (horns, percussions, and vocals). Chuck Findley
Charles B. Findley (born December 13, 1947 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania) is an American trumpet player known for his diverse work as a session musician. He also plays other brass instruments such as flugelhorn and trombone. His technical abilities and versatility are renowned even among other session players, with the celebrated session horn player and arranger Jerry Hey saying "Chuck Findley can play anything". A graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Music, Findley's first professional work was with the Jimmy Dorsey Big Band before joining the Buddy Rich Band on a world tour. In 1989 he joined the ''Tonight Show'' band led by Doc Severinsen. He was also a member of the band on ''The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'' from 1994 to 2001. ''40 Trips Around the Sun'' is a greatest hits album by American rock band Toto, released on February 9, 2018. The album was released in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of Toto's self-titled debut album (1978). ''40 Trips Around the Sun'' contains 14 tracks from 1978 to 1993, and three previously unreleased recordings ("Spanish Sea", "Alone" and "Struck by Lightning"). "Spanish Sea" was recorded during the sessions for '' Isolation'' (1984), and was re-written with a new chorus. ''Falling in Between Live'' is the fourth live album by American band Toto, released in 2007. It was recorded live at Le Zénith, Paris, France. The album is the first Toto record to feature bassist Leland Sklar, who at the time was thought to be temporarily replacing Mike Porcaro, "due to a hand injury", however Porcaro had really begun to feel the first effects of ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis). It is also the last Toto album with original lead vocalist Bobby Kimball, as well as the second and final recording to feature keyboardist/vocalist Greg Phillinganes, who was added to the official line-up to return the band to the classic 2 keyboardist format, and to fill in the gap during live performances since David Paich had temporarily retired from touring, but was still an active member in the studio. Tony Spinner
Tony Spinner (born June 9, 1963) is an American rock and blues singer and guitarist, best known for his collaborations with Toto and Paul Gilbert. Spinner, who toured with Toto from 1999 until their temporary hiatus in 2008, was personally selected by David Paich as a backup guitarist and backing vocalist and would perform lead vocals on the song " Stop Loving You," originally performed by former Toto member Joseph Williams. When Toto reformed in 2010, Williams rejoined the band. In fall 2010, Tony Spinner joined Paul Gilbert on his "Fuzz Universe" European tour. James Pankow
James Carter Pankow is an American trombone player, songwriter and brass instrument player, best known as a founding member of the rock band Chicago. Early life, family and education Born in St. Louis, Missouri of German and Irish descent, Pankow was one of nine siblings. He is the older brother of actor John Pankow, who appeared on the TV series ''Mad About You''. The family moved to Park Ridge, Illinois when he was eight years old. Pankow was influenced by his musician father, Wayne. He started playing the trombone at St. Paul of the Cross Elementary School. His Notre Dame High School band instructor was Father George Wiskirchen, CSC. Pankow earned a full music scholarship to Quincy College, where he studied the bass trombone. Thomas Wright Scott (born May 19, 1948) is an American saxophonist, composer, and arranger. He was a member of The Blues Brothers and led the jazz fusion group L.A. Express. Early life, family and education Scott was born in Los Angeles, California, US. He is the son of film and television composer Nathan Scott, who had more than 850 television credits and more than 100 film credits as a composer, orchestrator, and conductor, including the theme songs for '' Dragnet'' and '' Lassie''.
