Stockholm Östra Station
Stockholm East Station ( sv, Stockholms östra station) or Stockholm Ö is a railway station on the Roslag Railway in Stockholm, Sweden. The present station was inaugurated in 1932 and located on Valhallavägen in northeastern central Stockholm, close to the Royal Institute of Technology (Tekniska Högskolan), replacing an older provisional station from 1884 which was located some hundred metres to the north. Originally, the building had the offices of SRJ, the company owning and managing the Roslag Railway. There are still offices in the building for the company which is operating the traffic at present. The building also includes a restaurant, which has the same interior as when the building was new, something which is appreciated by the customers. The restaurant is well known as a place where supporters of sports club Djurgårdens IF like to go, as it is relatively close to the Stockholm Olympic Stadium, the classic former home field of Djurgårdens IF football team. Stockholm Metro
The Stockholm metro ( sv, Stockholms tunnelbana) is a rapid transit system in Stockholm, Sweden. The first line opened in 1950, and today the system has 100 stations in use, of which 47 are underground and 53 above ground. There are three coloured lines, as shown on the tube maps, which form seven numbered routes with different termini. Routes numbered 17, 18 and 19 (green line), 13 and 14 (red line) and 10 and 11 (blue line) all go through the centre of the city, resulting in a very centralized system. All three lines and seven routes interchange at T-Centralen station. Apart from this, there are three other interchange between lines, at Fridhemsplan, Slussen and Gamla stan stations. Odenplan is a plaza located in the district Vasastaden in central Stockholm, Sweden. History Odenplan was named after the old Norse god Odin. Universitetet Railway Station
Universitetet (Swedish: "the university") is a railway station in Stockholm along the Roslagsbanan, named for nearby Stockholm University. The present station was inaugurated on 7 January 2010, replacing the older station by the same name which had been closed for service since 14 June 2009. The closest station to the north, Frescati, was also closed at this time, and will not open again. The former station Universitetet was originally called Experimentalfältet, but was renamed in the 1960s when the university campus was moved to its present site. T-Centralen (Swedish for "The T-Central"; T being an abbreviation for "tunnelbana", the Swedish word for "underground" or "subway") is a metro station that forms the heart of the Stockholm metro system, in the sense that it is the only station where all three of the system's lines meet. That, its central location, and its connections with other modes of transport make it the busiest station in the system. The station is located in the Norrmalm borough of Stockholm, between Sergels torg (Sergel's Square) and the street of Vasagatan. Humlegården is a major park in the district of Östermalm in Stockholm, Sweden.
