Stockholm Metro
The Stockholm metro ( sv, Stockholms tunnelbana) is a rapid transit system in Stockholm, Sweden. The first line opened in 1950, and today the system has 100 stations in use, of which 47 are underground and 53 above ground. There are three coloured lines, as shown on the tube maps, which form seven numbered routes with different termini. Routes numbered 17, 18 and 19 (green line), 13 and 14 (red line) and 10 and 11 (blue line) all go through the centre of the city, resulting in a very centralized system. All three lines and seven routes interchange at T-Centralen station. Apart from this, there are three other interchange between lines, at Fridhemsplan, Slussen and Gamla stan stations. Hötorget Metro Station
Hötorget, formerly known as Kungsgatan, is an underground station on the Green line of the Stockholm metro. It is situated near to the Hötorget square in the borough of Norrmalm in central Stockholm, and lies below Sveavägen between its junctions with and . The station has three entrances, one at each end and one in the middle from Kungsgatan. The central entrance includes an underground square with several shops and stores. The distance to Slussen is . The station was inaugurated on 26 October 1952 as the east terminus of the stretch between Hötorget and Vällingby. The line was extended to Slussen on 24 November 1957, thereby connecting west and east sections of the green line. It was called Kungsgatan until 1957. Kristineberg Metro Station
Kristineberg metro station is a station on the Green line of the Stockholm metro. It is located in the district of Kristineberg, which is in the borough of Kungsholmen in central Stockholm. The station is located above ground alongside ''Drottningholmsvägen'' on its approach to the eastern end of the Tranebergsbron bridge. SL C20
The SL C20 is a type of subway train used in the Stockholm metro, Sweden. Between 1997 and 2004, 271 3-car sets, numbered 2000–2270, were delivered to Stockholm by the former Kalmar Verkstad, owned by Adtranz, later acquired by Bombardier Transportation. The C20 is a completely new design and therefore is not compatible with other train types in the system. At , each carriage is longer than the previous train types. To save cost and weight, each unit has only four bogies. The middle car has two bogies. The end parts consist of one bogie each and are connected to the central portion via a semi-trailer-direction. Trolley subframes are made of stainless steel, and are less susceptible to corrosion. When the C20 was sold as the ''Vagn 2000'' ( en, Wagon 2000), it was marketed as the subway car of the future. Gamla Stan
Gamla stan (, "The Old Town"), until 1980 officially Staden mellan broarna ("The Town between the Bridges"), is the old town of Stockholm, Sweden. Gamla stan consists primarily of the island Stadsholmen. Officially, but not colloquially, Gamla stan includes the surrounding islets Riddarholmen, Helgeandsholmen and Strömsborg. Stockholm Central Station
Stockholm Central Station ( sv, Stockholms centralstation) is a railway station in Stockholm, Sweden. It is situated in the district of Norrmalm at Vasagatan/Central Plan. The station opened on 18 July 1871 and it had over 200,000 visitors daily, of which about 170,000 were travellers (105,000 with commuter trains, 25,000 with Arlanda Express and 40,000 with other trains), until 10 July 2017 when the local commuter trains started to call at the Stockholm City Station which is located under the central station. Telefonplan Metro Station
Telefonplan metro station ("Telephone Square") is an outdoor station on Line 14 in the Stockholm metro. The station is located in the borough of Hägersten. It was opened on 5 April 1964 as part of the first stretch of Metro 2, between T-Centralen and Fruängen. Unlike most of the stations lying nearby, namely among others Midsommarkransen and Hägerstensåsen, the station's name does not refer to any specific area or a specific suburb. Instead, the station's name refers to a small square situated just west of the station's main entrance. The subway station initially mainly served the Ericsson headquarters, Ericsson's main factory and the nearby serviced apartments of its workers. Ericsson's headquarters moved to Kista in 2003. Islandstorget Metro Station
Islandstorget is a station in the Stockholm metro on the Green line. It is located in the district of Södra Ängby, which is part of the borough of Bromma in the west of the city of Stockholm. The station is above ground with a single island platform. The entrance is from Blackebergsvägen, which passes over the line.
