''Still Time'' is a 1994 photography book by Sally Mann. The book is published by Aperture (magazine), Aperture and was released alongside Mann's exhibition for the photographs. The book consists of 60 CMYK color model, four-color and duotone images of landscapes as well as abstract photography and images of Mann's children, some of which have been collected from her previous book, ''Immediate Family (book), Immediate Family''. The cover image is a photograph of Mann's 7 year old daughter Jessie, who is pictured topless with her breasts covered by nightblooming cereus. The book opens with a quote from Eric Ormsby's ''Childhood House'', and images focus on the theme of the passing of time. The book is not to be confused with the 1988 catalogue of the same name, also by Sally Mann. Sally Mann
Sally Mann HonFRPS (born Sally Turner Munger; May 1, 1951) is an American photographer who has made large format black and white photographs—at first of her young children, then later of landscapes suggesting decay and death. Early life and education Born in Lexington, Virginia, Mann was the third of three children. Her father, Robert S. Munger, was a general practitioner, and her mother, Elizabeth Evans Munger, ran the bookstore at Washington and Lee University in Lexington. Mann was raised by an atheist and compassionate father who allowed Mann to be "benignly neglected". Mann was introduced to photography by her father, who encouraged her interest in photography; his 5x7 camera became the basis of her use of large format cameras today. Mann began to photograph when she was sixteen. Most of her photographs and writings are tied to Lexington, Virginia.
