Stian Hagen is a Norwegian-born professional skier for the German ski manufacturer Völkl, and has contributed to the design of several Völkl ski models, the most recent being the Kuro, which is a powder fatski with a rocker design. He is best known for his graceful big mountain lines and fluid turns. Völkl Ski International, GmbH, () is a sports equipment manufacturing company based in Bavaria, Germany. Matchstick Productions, also known as MSP Films, is a film production company based in Crested Butte, Colorado that specializes in content creation and expert cinematography. Steve Winter and Murray Wais founded the company in 1992. According to MSP’s website, “Matchstick aims to create entertaining films that not only are stunning visually but on the cutting edge of action sports.” MSP has released a feature-length ski movie every year since 1992 with several gaining critical acclaim: their breakthrough film “Ski Movie”, featuring many of the world’s best skiers at the time, was released in 2000 and won “Movie of the Year” from both Powder Magazine and Freeze Magazine.
