Stewart’s Melville FP
Stewart's Melville RFC is a rugby union club based in Edinburgh, Scotland. They team competes in Scottish National League Division One, the second tier of Scottish club rugby. Home matches are played at Inverleith; this was the venue for Scotland's home games between 1899 and 1925, during which time the first matches against France and New Zealand were played. History The club took on its present form following the merger of Stewart's College FP and Melville College FP in 1973 when the club became known as Stewart's Melville FP RFC. As the name suggests, many of the players in the club's history were former pupils of the Stewart's Melville College (formed in a merger of Daniel Stewart's College and Melville College) in Edinburgh. This remains the case today, although the club is now 'open' and welcomes players who did not attend the school. Jed-Forest Sevens
Jed-Forest Sevens is an annual rugby sevens event held by Jed-Forest RFC, in Jedburgh, Scotland. The Jed-Forest Sevens was the fourth of the Border Sevens tournaments to be instated, in 1894, after the Melrose Sevens (1883), Gala Sevens (1884) and the Hawick Sevens (1885). The Jed-Forest Sevens are traditionally the last tournament of the Kings of the Sevens competition. 2022's Jed-Forest Sevens will be played on 14 May. Scott Riddell
Scott Riddell (born 5 October 1985) is the former captain of the Scotland national sevens team and competed in three Commonwealth Games and 74 competitions in the HSBC World Sevens Series as well as play in the 2009, 2013 and 2018 Sevens World Cup since making his Scotland debut in the 2009 Wellington competition. He has also represented Great Britain in the Rugby Europe Sevens Circuit. In 2014/15 season he was named in the London 7s dream team due to his world class performances. In the 2016 London Sevens, Riddell played an important part in winning Scotland’s first ever series cup as well as making getting his 50th cap for the sevens team. Ian William Forsyth (born 4 July 1946) is a Scottish former rugby union player who won six international caps for the Scotland national rugby union team. He played at Centre. Graeme George Burns (born 29 October 1971) is a Scottish rugby union coach and former player. Graham Shiel (born 13 August 1970 in Galashiels, Scotland ) is the skills coach of the Scotland rugby 7's team. He is now retired from playing rugby, having made 18 appearances for the Scotland national rugby union team and once for the national sevens team.
