Steve Zatylny
Steve Zatylny is a former Canadian football wide receiver who played two seasons with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League. He was drafted by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the sixth round of the 1990 CFL Draft. He first enrolled at Vanier College before transferring to Bishop's University. Zatylny's brother also played in the CFL. College career Vanier College Zatylny played for the Vanier Cheetahs from 1984 to 1985. Bishop's University Zatylny played CIS football for the Bishop's Gaiters. Professional career Winnipeg Blue Bombers Zatylny was selected by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers with the 43rd pick in the 1990 CFL Draft. He played for the Blue Bombers from 1990 to 1991, winning the 78th Grey Cup in 1990. Criminal charges In February 2023, Zatylny pled guilty to two counts related to "sexual interference with a minor" between 2002 and 2004; he was sentenced to 42 months in prison. Bishop's University
Bishop's University (french: Université Bishop's) is a small English-language Liberal arts college, liberal arts university in Lennoxville, a borough of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada. The founder of the institution was the Anglican Diocese of Quebec, Anglican Bishop of Quebec, George Mountain, who also served as the first principal of McGill University. It is one of three universities in the province of Quebec that teach primarily in English (the others being McGill University and Concordia University, both in Montreal). It began its foundation by absorbing the Lennoxville Classical School as Bishop's College School in the 1840s. U Sports football is the highest level of amateur play of Canadian football and operates under the auspices of U Sports (formerly Canadian Interuniversity Sport). Twenty-seven teams from Canadian universities are divided into four athletic conferences, drawing from the four regional associations of U Sports: Canada West Universities Athletic Association, Ontario University Athletics, Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec, and Atlantic University Sport. The Bishop's Gaiters is the men's and women's athletic teams that represent Bishop's University in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada. The name Gaiter is a nickname used to refer to garments worn over the shoe and lower pants leg, worn by Anglican bishops until the beginning of the 20th century. The teams play in U Sports, mostly competing in the Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec (RSEQ), while the football program competes in the Atlantic University Sport football conference.
