Jon Steven Young (born October 11, 1961) is an American former professional football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 15 seasons, primarily with the San Francisco 49ers. He also played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Prior to his NFL career, he was a member of the Los Angeles Express in the United States Football League (USFL) for two seasons. Young played college football for Brigham Young University (BYU), setting school and NCAA records en route to being runner-up for the 1983 Heisman Trophy. Young was named the AP's NFL Most Valuable Player in 1992 and 1994, and was the MVP of Super Bowl XXIX where he led the 49ers to a victory over the San Diego Chargers with a record six touchdown passes. Stephen John Young (born 1951) is a British researcher, Professor of Information Engineering at the University of Cambridge and an entrepreneur. He is one of the pioneers of automated speech recognition and statistical spoken dialogue systems. He served as the Senior Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cambridge from 2009 to 2015, responsible for planning and resources. From 2015 to 2019, he held a joint appointment between his professorship at Cambridge and Apple, where he was a senior member of the Siri development team. Steve Young (July 12, 1942 – March 17, 2016) was an American country music singer, songwriter and guitarist, known for his song "Seven Bridges Road" (on '' Rock Salt & Nails'' & ''Seven Bridges Road''). He was a pioneer of the country rock, Americana, and alternative country sounds, and also a vital force behind the " outlaw movement" that gave support to the careers of Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams, Jr. and more. Steve Young was a television writer for ''Late Show with David Letterman'' and ''Late Night with David Letterman''. He is a Harvard University graduate and former writer for the Harvard Lampoon. He also wrote ''The Simpsons'' season eight episode "Hurricane Neddy". Young adapted the holiday book ''Olive, the Other Reindeer'' for the animated holiday special. Steve Young (January 6, 1953 – January 9, 2003) was national president of the Fraternal Order of Police in 2001. Early life Born Kermit Steven Young on January 26, 1953, in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. He was a Lieutenant with the Marion Police Department in Marion, Ohio. Career Young started both his FOP and police careers in 1976 with the Marion Police Department. He served as the state FOP president from 1988 to 1999 and was elected national president in 2001, when he received unanimous support after he ran unopposed. Young also served on state and national committees, including President George W. Bush's Homeland Security Committee to which he was appointed in 2002. Stephen Crawford Young Jr. (born 11 December 1956) is an Australian musician, and the rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist for the Australian rock & roll band AC/DC. He joined the band in April 2014, to record the group's ''Rock or Bust'' album, but was not announced as an official member of the band until September of that year. Steven Keith Young (born May 17, 1969) is a Canadian politician who served as the Member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta representing the electoral district of Edmonton-Riverview from 2012 until his defeat in 2015. He was first elected April 23, 2012, and subsequently appointed to the role of the Chief Government Whip. Stylianos "Steve" Giatzoglou (alternate spellings: Yatzoglou, Yantzoglou; Greek: Στυλιανός "Στηβ" Γιατζόγλου; born 11 December 1949), is a Greek American professional basketball coach, and the president of the Union of Greek Basketball Athletes.
