Steve Thornton
Steve Thornton (born March 8, 1973) is a Canadian-born British former professional ice hockey player. He is currently the Director of Hockey Operations for the Belfast Giants of the Elite Ice Hockey League. Career Thornton was born in Gloucester, Ontario. Apart from playing junior hockey with the Gloucester Rangers, college hockey with Boston University and one season in the International Hockey League with the Peoria Rivermen, Thornton's career has been played in Europe. He has single season spells in Austria with Klagenfurt and in Germany's Deutsche Eishockey Liga with the Adler Mannheim before moving to the United Kingdom, spending five seasons with the Cardiff Devils. He also had spells with the London Knights and the Belfast Giants where he won the playoff cup in 2003. He then moved to Italy, spending two seasons with Val Pusteria Wolves and then had spells in Switzerland and Sweden before returning to Britain, joined the Basingstoke Bison. Cardiff Devils
The Cardiff Devils are a Welsh ice hockey team who play in the British Elite Ice Hockey League. The team play at Ice Arena Wales in Cardiff Bay. Cardiff are the reigning EIHL play-off champions, winning their third title in a row after beating the Belfast Giants 6–3 at the 2022 EIHL play-off Final. Todd Kelman
Todd Kelman (born January 5, 1975) is a Canadian retired ice hockey defenceman who is currently the Managing Director of the Cardiff Devils of the Elite Ice Hockey League. He was an original member of the first Belfast Giants squad that played in the old Ice Hockey Superleague in the 2000–01 season. He won the Superleague title twice, once with the Giants in 2001–02 (a mere one season after the team was founded) and previously with the Bracknell Bees two seasons earlier in 1999–00. He also won the Superleague Playoff Championship and the Elite League with the Giants in 2002–03 and 2005–06 respectively. Edward Emmett Courtenay (born February 2, 1968) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey right winger and head coach. Professional career As a youth, Courtenay played in the 1980 and 1981 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournaments with a minor ice hockey team from Verdun. Following Courtenay's junior hockey career with Laval Titan and Granby Bisons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) he was signed by the Minnesota North Stars as a free agent on 1 October 1989.
