Steve Petryk
Steven H. Petryk (born July 10, 1963 in Edmonton, Alberta) is a Canadian curler from Calgary, Alberta. He is a former provincial men's and junior champion, and has played in one Brier. Curling career Petryk's junior men's curling team which included Dave Zabolotniuk, Lyle Horneland and Denis Krysalka won the Alberta provincial junior title in 1982The rink would represent Alberta at the 1982 Canadian Junior Curling Championships where the rink finished with a 4-7 record, missing the playoffsOttawa Citizen; February 27 1982 After juniors, Petryk would find himself playing for former world champion Ed Lukowich. In 1994, Dr. Petryk won the Alberta provincial championship playing lead for the rink which also included Fred Maxie playing third and younger brother Dan at second. Red Deer is a city in Alberta, Canada, located midway on the Calgary–Edmonton Corridor. Red Deer serves central Alberta, and key industries include health care, retail trade, construction, oil and gas, hospitality, manufacturing and education. 1994 Labatt Brier
The 1994 Labatt Brier, Canada's national men's curling championship, was held from March 5 to 13 at the Centrium in Red Deer, Alberta. In the final, former Brier champion Rick Folk of British Columbia, who won the Brier in 1980 representing Saskatchewan, defeated Russ Howard of Ontario to win his second Brier title, by a score of 8–5. The game was a re-match of the 1993 Labatt Brier, which saw Howard defeat Folk. In the game, the two teams traded singles in the first two ends. Ontario took a 2–1 lead in the third, after when B.C.'s third Bert Gretzinger missed his shots, leading to a steal of one for Ontario. However, B.C. rebounded with a three-ender in the fourth when Howard wrecked on a guard with his final shot, and Folk made an open draw to score three. Kevin Koe
Kevin Koe ( ; born January 11, 1975) is a Canadian curler. Koe is a two-time World champion and four-time Canadian champion. He was the skip of the Canadian men's team at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang. Originally from Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, he now resides in Calgary, Alberta and curls out of The Glencoe Club. He learned to curl at the age of six in Inuvik, Northwest Territories. Career Junior career After several trips to the territorial junior men's curling championships, Koe finally won in 1994. This earned him the right to skip the Northwest Territories/Yukon team at the 1994 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. Daniel P. Petryk (born October 5, 1965) is a Canadian curler. He is a and a 1991 Labatt Brier champion. The Boston Pizza Cup is the Alberta provincial championship for men's curling, run by Curling Alberta. The winner represents Team Alberta at the national men's championship, called the Tim Hortons Brier. Currently sponsored by restaurant chain Boston Pizza, under former sponsors, the championship was known as the Alberta Kia Cup and the Safeway Select.
