Steven Lee Kleisath is an American musician and has been a drummer for PULL, Strongarm, Shai Hulud, Further Seems Forever, and En Masse. The band PULL was originally called Friend or Foe. He also currently plays drums for the band The Darling Fire, who released the record ''Dark Celebration'' in 2019. He is a semi-professional poker player. Kleisath is also the World Record holder in the classic arcade game " Mario Bros." – scoring over 5 million points – and the No. 3 Ms. Pac-Man (Turbo) player in the world as ranked by Twin Galaxies. Shai Hulud
Shai Hulud is an American metalcore band formed in Pompano Beach, Florida, in 1995, and later based in Poughkeepsie, New York. The band is named after the giant sandworms in Frank Herbert's novel ''Dune''. The two mainstay members of Shai Hulud are considered to be Matt Fox (guitar), who writes most of the band's musical and lyrical output, and Matt Fletcher (originally guitar, now bass), who assists in writing. Tooth & Nail Records is a Christian rock record label founded by Brandon Ebel in California in November 1993. The label later moved to Seattle, Washington where it is situated today. It is home to many well-known musical acts, including Underoath, Hawk Nelson, Emery, The Almost, FM Static, Family Force 5, Anberlin, and MxPx. Christopher Ender Carrabba (born April 10, 1975) is the lead singer and guitarist of the band Dashboard Confessional, lead singer of the band Further Seems Forever, and is the vocalist for the folk band Twin Forks. Early life and education Born in West Hartford, Connecticut, United States, Carrabba's parents divorced when he was three. At age 16, he moved with his mother Anne, brother Nick, stepbrother and stepfather to Boca Raton, Florida. Carrabba remains close to some relatives on his paternal side, but is not close to his father Andrew specifically. As a teenager, Carrabba was interested in skateboarding and passionate about music. ''Hearts Once Nourished with Hope and Compassion'' is the first full-length album by American hardcore punk band Shai Hulud, released on November 4, 1997, on Crisis Records. ''Hearts Once Nourished with Hope and Compassion'' received positive reviews and became very influential in the emerging metalcore scene of the late 1990s. Production Shai Hulud started recording the album in August 1997 and finished the process in September. The album's title name comes from the lyrics of "Outside the Boundaries of a Friend", ''My heart, once nourished with hope and compassion, now is black as death.'' Many movie samples were used. One of them is played at the end of "Solely Concentrating on the Negative Aspects of Life", in which Bill Murray is heard saying "It's gonna be cold. It's gonna be gray. ''A Profound Hatred of Man'' is an extended play by hardcore punk band Shai Hulud, released on February 18, 1997, on the independent label Crisis Records. In 2006, Revelation Records released a remastered version of the album which also includes the material from all of Shai Hulud's split records with bands Indecision, Boy Sets Fire and Another Victim, and some B-sides and covers. On the first 5000 copies, Shai Hulud's name is misspelled on the spine as "''Shai Halud''", but appears correctly on the cover. In "If Born From This Soil", the lyric "A likeness only in structure, not in mind" came into his mind when an impatient, drunk man spoke for Matt Fox, while he was waiting in a long line at a gas station. The man said to the cashier while gesturing to himself and Matt, "We just want a beer." The sample at the beginning of the song is Al Pacino in '' Glengarry Glen Ross'' (1992). Oliver Chapoy
Oliver Chapoy is a musician/multi-instrumentalist/producer who resides in Brooklyn, New York. Oliver is known for his work as a former co-writer/collaborator with Experimental Pop group Warm Ghost, the instrumental band Saxon Shore and his collaborations with the likes of Helado Negro, Sinkane (DFA Records), Mikael Jorgensen (Wilco), Leverage Models & more. Chad Everett Gilbert (born March 9, 1981) is an American musician and record producer. He is best known as a founding member of the rock band New Found Glory, for whom he plays lead guitar, sings backing vocals, and composes music. He was also the lead vocalist for the band's now-defunct side-project, International Superheroes of Hardcore. Additionally, Gilbert was the vocalist for the hardcore punk band Shai Hulud between 1995 and 1998, and from 2012 to 2013.
