Hearts Once Nourished With Hope And Compassion
''Hearts Once Nourished with Hope and Compassion'' is the first full-length album by American hardcore punk band Shai Hulud, released on November 4, 1997, on Crisis Records. ''Hearts Once Nourished with Hope and Compassion'' received positive reviews and became very influential in the emerging metalcore scene of the late 1990s. Production Shai Hulud started recording the album in August 1997 and finished the process in September. The album's title name comes from the lyrics of "Outside the Boundaries of a Friend", ''My heart, once nourished with hope and compassion, now is black as death.'' Many movie samples were used. One of them is played at the end of "Solely Concentrating on the Negative Aspects of Life", in which Bill Murray is heard saying "It's gonna be cold. It's gonna be gray. Oliver Chapoy
Oliver Chapoy is a musician/multi-instrumentalist/producer who resides in Brooklyn, New York. Oliver is known for his work as a former co-writer/collaborator with Experimental Pop group Warm Ghost, the instrumental band Saxon Shore and his collaborations with the likes of Helado Negro, Sinkane (DFA Records), Mikael Jorgensen (Wilco), Leverage Models & more. Guitar

Damien Zev Moyal (born September 25, 1976) is an American vocalist, lyricist, musician, songwriter and designer. Chad Everett Gilbert (born March 9, 1981) is an American musician and record producer. He is best known as a founding member of the rock band New Found Glory, for whom he plays lead guitar, sings backing vocals, and composes music. Matthew Ian Fox (born April 28, 1973) is an American musician, founding member and a current lead guitarist for the hardcore punk band Shai Hulud and his side project Zombie Apocalypse. Fox writes the most of the Shai Hulud's musical and lyrical output. He has also played guitar in many other rock bands, like Planet X, The Murrychesstoes, The One Eyed Kings, Unwillful Demise, S.F.B and Bingo Mut.
