Steve Kestell
Steve Kestell (June 15, 1955) is a Wisconsin politician, legislator, and business owner. Kestell was born in Lyndon, Wisconsin Kestell graduated from Plymouth High School Political career In 1998, Kestell was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly and has been in the assembly since 1999. Kestell voted against the state budget in 2013, citing too many non-fiscal policy items contained within the budget. It was Kestell's contention that policy changes should pass through the regular legislative process. Personal life Kestell is married and has three children. The 27th Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in eastern Wisconsin, the district comprises northeast Sheboygan County and southeast Manitowoc County. It includes part of northern Sheboygan, as well as the cities of Plymouth and Kiel, and the villages of Cleveland, Elkhart Lake, and Kohler. It also contains Lakeland University, the Whistling Straits and Blackwolf Run golf courses, the Road America motorsport course, and the Sheboygan County Memorial Airport. Clifford Otte
Clifford Otte is a former member of the Wisconsin State Assembly. Biography Otte was born on January 15, 1933, in Wilson, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin. He graduated from Oostburg High School in Oostburg, Wisconsin, and served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Tyler Vorpagel
Tyler Vorpagel (born March 24, 1985) is an American Republican politician. He is a former member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing the 27th Assembly district from 2015 through 2022. Biography Born in Plymouth, Wisconsin, Vorpagel graduated from Plymouth High School in 2003. He went on to the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay, where he earned his bachelor's degree in political science and public administration in 2007. After graduating, he was employed as a staffer for Congressman Tom Petri, and was later promoted to district director. Vorpagel became well known in the local Republican Party of Wisconsin and was elected as a delegate to the 2012 Republican National Convention. Lyndon is a town in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin. The population was 1,468 at the time of the 2000 census. It is included in the Sheboygan, Wisconsin Metropolitan Statistical Area. Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin
Elkhart Lake is a village in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, United States, located within the northwestern part of the county within the Town of Rhine. The population was 967 at the 2010 census. It is included in the Sheboygan, Wisconsin Metropolitan Statistical Area. Elkhart Lake may be best known for hosting road races on public county roads during the 1950s, later moving to a dedicated race track called Road America, which is located a few miles south of the village. History The area was first inhabited by the Potawatomi Indians and they named the area “Me-shay-way-odeh-ni-bis”, or Great Elk Heart Lake, because the lake resembles an elk's heart. Wisconsin State Assembly
The Wisconsin State Assembly is the lower house of the Wisconsin Legislature. Together with the smaller Wisconsin Senate, the two constitute the legislative branch of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. Representatives are elected for two-year terms, elected during the fall elections. If a vacancy occurs in an Assembly seat between elections, it may be filled only by a special election.
