Steve Irwin (attorney)
Steven Dane Irwin (born July 1, 1959) is an American lawyer, activist, and politician who currently serves as Chair of the Pennsylvania Advisory Committee of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights and previously served as the Banking and Securities Commissioner of Pennsylvania. A member of the Democratic Party, Irwin ran for Congress in 2022, but was defeated in one of the nation's closest races, by State Representative Summer Lee in the primary. Early life Irwin spent his early childhood in Queens, New York and moved to St. Petersburg, Florida when he was age 10. His father, a Korean War veteran, worked as a butcher and his mother worked as a secretary to a Rabbi. One of the only Jews in St. Petersburg, he was often bullied and his house was egged because he was Jewish. The Pittsburgh Light Rail (commonly known as The T) is a light rail system in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and surrounding suburbs. It operates as a deep-level subway in Downtown Pittsburgh, but runs mostly at-grade in the suburbs south of the city. The system is largely linear in a north-south direction, with one terminus just north of Pittsburgh's central business district and two termini in the South Hills. Bill Peduto
William Mark Peduto (born October 30, 1964) is an American politician who was the 60th mayor of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania from 2014 until 2022. He was a Democratic member of the Pittsburgh City Council from 2002 to 2014. Before his election to the city council, Peduto attended Pennsylvania State University, from which he took a leave of absence before completing his degree. He ran a consulting business and later served as chief of staff to his predecessor on the city council, Dan Cohen. Peduto was elected to the council in 2001 and served from 2002 to 2014. During that time, he ran for mayor three times. In 2005, he lost the Democratic primary to Bob O'Connor, who became mayor in 2006. Michael F. Doyle Jr. (born August 5, 1953) is an American politician who is the U.S. representative for , serving since 1995. He is a member of the Democratic Party. The district is based in Pittsburgh and includes most of Allegheny County. He is the dean of Pennsylvania's congressional delegation. A native of Swissvale and graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, Doyle previously served as a member of the Swissvale Borough Council (1977–1981) and an aide to Republican State Senator Frank Pecora (1979–1994). Pennsylvania's 12th Congressional District
Pennsylvania's 12th congressional district is located in southwestern Pennsylvania, which includes Pittsburgh and much of Allegheny County. It has been represented since January 3, 2023 by Summer Lee. Prior to 2018, the 12th district was located in southwestern Pennsylvania, and included all of Beaver County, and parts of Allegheny, Cambria, Lawrence, Somerset, and Westmoreland Counties. The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania redrew this and other state congressional districts in February 2018 after ruling the previous map unconstitutional due to partisan gerrymandering. The Pennsylvania Attorney General is the chief law enforcement officer of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It became an elected office in 1980. The current Attorney General is Democrat Josh Shapiro. On August 15, 2016, then-Attorney General Kathleen Kane was convicted of criminal charges, including conspiracy, perjury, and obstruction of justice, and announced her resignation the following day, effective August 17.
