Steve Garvey (musician)
Stephen Garvey (born 8 January 1958) is a musician who is known for being the bass guitarist of the punk band Buzzcocks, forming part of the classic line-up of the group, from 1977 to 1981, and, again, from 1989 to 1992. Biography Original Buzzcocks years Garvey was born in Manchester, England. After working in a petrol station, he joined Buzzcocks as bass guitarist in late 1977, replacing erstwhile bassist Garth Smith shortly after the release of the ''Orgasm Addict'' single. He was with Buzzcocks for their first three albums: ''Another Music in a Different Kitchen'', '' Love Bites'' and ''A Different Kind of Tension'', and his work features on the majority of the compilation ''Singles Going Steady''. Dave Rowbotham
Dave Rowbotham (1958 – 8 November 1991) was an English rock musician who played guitar and bass with various Manchester bands in the 1970s and the 1980s, and as a studio musician. Biography Born in Didsbury, Manchester, he went to school at Elm Grove Primary School and then Parrswood High School. He left school to train as an electrician and in 1970 he started playing rhythm guitar with his pals in a four piece rock cover band called Flashback. He later adopted the hippie lifestyle. During the punk era, he, alongside drummer Chris Joyce, played in a band called Fast Breeder and was managed by Alan Erasmus, who later co-founded Factory Records with Tony Wilson. David M. Price (born October 18, 1966) is an American journalist and weather forecaster who is currently working for WNBC-TV in New York as a weekday afternoon weatherman. Price is perhaps best known for his time on CBS television's ''The Early Show'', where he was the daily forecaster and a primary fill-in co-host for Harry Smith. ''Homosapien'' is the second solo album by British musician Pete Shelley, released in 1981. The album follows his experimental instrumental album ''Sky Yen'' (recorded in 1974 but released in 1980) and his work with the group Buzzcocks, who initially disbanded in 1981. ''Homosapien'' saw a marked departure from the punk stylings of Buzzcocks' records, being heavily influenced by the programmed synthesizer sounds and drum machines of synthpop, with the addition of Shelley on acoustic guitar. ''Record Mirror'' was a British weekly music newspaper between 1954 and 1991 for pop fans and record collectors. Launched two years after the ''NME'', it never attained the circulation of its rival. The first UK album chart was published in ''Record Mirror'' in 1956, and during the 1980s it was the only consumer music paper to carry the official UK singles and UK albums charts used by the BBC for Radio 1 and ''Top of the Pops'', as well as the US ''Billboard'' charts. ''Final Vinyl'' is the only album released by English new wave band the Teardrops. It was released in January 1980, shortly before the band dissolved. The band were formed by Buzzcocks bassist Steve Garvey, ex- the Fall bassist Tony Friel, Trev Waine, Helen Barbrook and Bok Bok. The latter could be a two-people pseudonym of Karl Burns, who also was in the Fall and was in the Teardrops, but was not credited, and Dave Price; they added Steve Garvey in the project called as that probably stage name, releasing one single, "Come Back to Me", in May 1980.
