Steve Gan
Steve Gan (born May 22, 1945) is a Chinese-born Filipino comics artist. He is best known for co-creating Panday with Carlo J. Caparas and Marvel Comics' Star-Lord and Skull the Slayer. Biography Steve Gan was born as Santos S. Gan but changed his first name to "Steve" in admiration of Steve Ditko. Gan studied architecture at the Mapúa Institute of Technology and later worked as an artist in the Komiks industry. It was as Steve Gan that he got a huge break drawing for American comic book publisher Marvel Comics, sending work through his United States-based agent, the Filipino comic book artist Tony DeZuñiga. In 1974, Gan began drawing for Marvel Comics and contributed to their line of black-and-white magazines including ''Savage Tales'' and ''Dracula Lives''. Marvin Arthur Wolfman (born May 13, 1946) is an American comic book and novelization writer. He worked on Marvel Comics's ''The Tomb of Dracula'', for which he and artist Gene Colan created the vampire-slayer Blade, and DC Comics's '' The New Teen Titans'' and the ''Crisis on Infinite Earths'' limited series with George Pérez. Allen L. Milgrom (born March 6, 1950) is an American comic book writer, penciller, inker and editor, primarily for Marvel Comics. Michael G. Ploog (; born July 13, 1940 or 1942) is an American storyboard and comic book artist, and a visual designer for films. In comics, Ploog is best known for his work on Marvel Comics' 1970s ''Man-Thing'' and '' The Monster of Frankenstein'' series, and as the initial artist on the features ''Ghost Rider'' and ''Werewolf by Night''. ''Creepy'' was an American horror (genre), horror-comics magazine launched by Warren Publishing in 1964. Like ''Mad (magazine), Mad'', it was a black-and-white newsstand publication in a magazine format and did not carry the seal of the Comics Code Authority. An anthology magazine, it initially was published quarterly but later went bimonthly. Each issue's stories were introduced by the host character, Uncle Creepy. Its sister publications were ''Eerie'' and ''Vampirella''. Tarzan, a fictional character created by Edgar Rice Burroughs, first appeared in the 1912 novel ''Tarzan of the Apes'', and then in 23 sequels. The character proved immensely popular and quickly made the jump to other media, including comics. Comic strips ''Tarzan of the Apes'' was adapted into newspaper strip form, first published January 7, 1929, with illustrations by Hal Foster. Solomon Kane is a fictional character created by the pulp magazine, pulp-era writer Robert E. Howard. A late-16th-to-early-17th century Puritan, Solomon Kane is a somber-looking man who wanders the world with no apparent goal other than to vanquish evil in all its forms. His adventures, published mostly in the pulp magazine ''Weird Tales'', often take him from Europe to the jungles of Africa and back.
