Steve DeOssie
Steve Leonard DeOssie (born November 22, 1962) is a former American football linebacker and long snapper in the National Football League for the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, New York Jets and New England Patriots. He played college football at Boston College. Early years DeOssie attended the now defunct Don Bosco Technical High School in Boston, Massachusetts, playing for head coach Bob Currier. He also played catcher in baseball. He received All-state honors in football, baseball and basketball. He accepted a football scholarship from Boston College, where he was a four-year starter at middle linebacker and the team's long snapper. Early in his career he was used at fullback in short-yardage situations. Which included a key block enabling BC to upset #11 Stanford University. Don Bosco Technical High School (Boston)
Don Bosco Technical High School (called as Don Bosco Trade School from 1946 to 1954 and officially named Don Bosco School of Technology from 1993 until its closure) was an all-boys Roman Catholic secondary school for grades 9 through 12 in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. Eugene Lockhart
Eugene Lockhart, Jr. (born March 7, 1961) is a former American football linebacker in the National Football League for the Dallas Cowboys and New England Patriots. He played college football at the University of Houston and was drafted in the sixth round of the 1984 NFL Draft. Early days Lockhart attended Crockett High School and became a two-year starting linebacker for the University of Houston during the 1982 and 1983 seasons. In 1983, he was named tri-captain of the Cougars football team. He led the team with 134 tackles, was named second-team All Southwest Conference by UPI and was voted the team's most valuable player. New Jersey Generals
The New Jersey Generals were a franchise of the United States Football League (USFL) established in 1982 to begin play in the spring and summer of 1983. The team played three seasons from 1983 to 1985, winning 31 regular season games and losing 25 while going 0–2 in postseason competition. Home games were played at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, which was called The Meadowlands for Generals games. Uniforms Team colors were scarlet, white, royal blue and sunflower gold. The primary logo was a gold five-star general wreath. Team helmets were solid scarlet with the logo decal on each side and a white face-mask. The 1984 NFL Draft was the procedure by which National Football League teams selected amateur college football players. It is officially known as the NFL Annual Player Selection Meeting. The draft was held May 1–2, 1984, at the Omni Park Central Hotel in New York City, New York. No teams elected to claim any players in the regular supplemental draft that year. The Citrus Bowl is an annual college football bowl game played at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida. The bowl is operated by Florida Citrus Sports, a non-profit group that also organizes the Cheez-It Bowl and Florida Classic. The game was first played as the Tangerine Bowl in 1947 before being renamed as the Florida Citrus Bowl in 1983. A fullback (FB) is a position in the offensive backfield in gridiron football, and is one of the two running back positions along with the halfback.
