Sackville-Uniacke is a provincial electoral district in Nova Scotia, Canada. It was created as Sackville-Beaver Bank in 2012 from parts of much of Hammonds Plains-Upper Sackville and part of Waverley-Fall River-Beaver Bank. The riding also existed from 1993 to 2003. Following the 2019 riding boundary review, the riding changed names to Sackville-Uniacke, and gained parts of Hants East (Uniacke area) and a small section of Waverley-Fall River-Beaver Bank, while losing some territory to Waverley-Fall River-Beaver Bank (the Woodbine Mobile Home area). Mat Whynott
Mathew Whynott is a Canadian politician, who was elected to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly in the 2009 provincial election. From 2009 to 2013, he represented the electoral district of Hammonds Plains-Upper Sackville as a member of the New Democratic Party. He is the youngest person ever elected as MLA in Nova Scotia, having entered office one day before his 24th birthday. Whynott is majoring in political science at St. Mary's University. The Nova Scotia Liberal Party is a centrist provincial political party in Nova Scotia, Canada and the provincial section of the Liberal Party of Canada. The 2013 Nova Scotia general election was held on October 8, 2013, to elect members to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly. The result of the election was a Liberal victory under the leadership of Stephen McNeil, with the party winning its first election since 1998. The Progressive Conservatives, under the leadership of Jamie Baillie, improved on their 2009 results and formed the Official Opposition, despite winning fewer votes than the New Democratic Party (NDP). The Nova Scotia New Democratic Party is a social-democratic, progressive provincial party in Nova Scotia, Canada. It is the provincial entity of the federal New Democratic Party (NDP). It was founded as the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation (CCF) in 1932, and became the New Democratic Party in 1961. It became the governing party of Nova Scotia following the 2009 Nova Scotia election, winning 31 seats in the Legislature, under the leadership of Premier Darrell Dexter.
